PSD pick #1 - Who will we use it on?

We the past few years the PSD pick's 1, 2 and 3 have landed clubs with a bonus player and we'd be silly not to take advantage of it.

So lets see who can guess correctly.

Who will we pick up with pick 1 in the PSD?

Just don't see the point of Motlop at all.

Reimers I am coming around to, seems to be an attacking half forward we need.

It's only a pipedream - but I'd like to target someone from the 2008 draft that is potentially out of contract. Like a Rich/Pears etc(I don't know contract status). It just adds to our core group of 19-22 year olds.

If Sherman is out of contract I'm tipping him.

Was a big Eagles fan prior to getting drafted and wanted to play for us I understand.

A big end of season review coming up at Brisbane, he's out of form and playing in the QAFL. If he gets a ribbing from the club / Voss etc I could see him giving them the bird and walking onto a plane heading west.

Age 23 118 games 85 goals and fast.

I thought GC had ten picks of previous listed AFL players , so I would imagine Brabazon / Krakouer / Chad Jones ie previous listed players will go to the GC .

We may just get the best of the players that GC dont pick .

I hope for Brabazon or Krakouer or the perth player Myzunga !

They have the option to pre-list 10 players formerly on AFL lists. But don't actually take part in the PSD

My understanding of that though is that unlike the U/17 concessions - the players have the right not to sign.

Hence why we will have pick 1 in the PSD. So if Sherman/Reimers etc wants to come home - they ignore the approaches of GC and enlist in the PSD

haven't seen much footy for the last 2 to 3 months but was very suprised when he was dropped from the lions team.

This is the one I am hoping for.

Adds experience that we desperately need whilst still being under 25 and with his pace and goal kicking nous offers something on the field that we lack.

i'd be happy with sherman, i've always liked him as a player.

if woosha could turn him around and make him into more of a hard-working team player i think he could be a real asset.

loves a goal too.

dont see the point in motlop, i'd rather we blooded a young forward like neates/weedon/broome than get a 27-28 year old for a few years.

Like the 17 year olds the gold coast has the ability to preselect players previously on afl lists before the psd to fill whatever spots they still have to fill. AFAIK the players have to agree to go there though so its a bit different to being a part of a draft where you can be going anywhere.

what's krakouer like? haven't seen much of port this year but they don't seem to fancy him on their board, apparently is a bit lazy, and also what position/s does he play? i reckon we need a quick wingman/back flanker who can run and carry and finish well (obviously) people are mentioning sherman, i like the sound of that but doesn't seem like he'll leave the lions, although he may be keen to get out of brisbane hence being dropped for being out of form even tho he's been a more consistent player in the (second) most out of form team. but i don't know much about drafting/trading periods.

I hope so, but GC will hunt him with one of their pre-selected picks of previously listed AFL players.

Hopefully he has settled in Perth and doesn't want to leave again.
