I must say, walking around Rundle mall and the CBD, there isn't a lot of presence regarding tonight's game. I have not yet seen anyone wearing Port attire. No one yelling out etc.

Maybe they're all at work. Lol.

But I do get the feeling after recent finals failures that they're on edge and actually very nervous about tonight.

Stewart out is very upsetting but I'm trying to reframe my thinking. I don't think the likes of Blitz or Duncan are going to pull out a blinder from nowhere but who knows, maybe the likes of Humphries and Dempsey find something in their first final and turn it in!

The greater the adversity
The greater the triumph
Atkins to reprise his form V Power from last season and Bruhn and Bowes to step up bigly in the middle in support of Danger and Blitz.......
Houston and Farrell are massive outs , Dixon is questionable plus the have our 3 rejects - we are definitely a chance !!

Means they can now put a lot more work into Dangerfield.

Big loss unfortunately.
I would love to see them try. Mcntee fame is only because he has been Stewy a couple of times with scragging behind play in his forward line. He tries that on Captain and will be embarrassed. the rest of their team are not accountable types

I don’t think this is going to be a great two weeks for Geelong fans.

At the end of the day, we are completely blessed to follow The Greatest Team of All.

The 2022 flag capped off the most brilliant 15 years of following this club and anything we get from here is a bonus.

Nobody thought we’d be here this year let alone with the likes of Dempsey, Mannagh, Humphries and Neale playing such important roles.

There’s also far less at stake for us than there is for any other finalist bar Hawthorn, I’d argue - Swans, Port, GWS and Lions are stung from repeated finals failures over recent years and Dogs and Blues believe they’re in the window and will call for coach sackings if they fail to progress beyond this week.

I’m going to enjoy watching us play at least two more times this season and have every reason to believe that we’ll be a strong team again next season.

I agree but it's more so the moments in the game where Stewart would float back into defense and provide those crucial spoils or break up the play.
I think we would have coped without any other defender bar him so it's bloody frustrating.

If they pull this one off, it'll be one of the great wins.

I might crack a bottle and just keep re-reading this 👍
