Do your homework before watching the Suns against St Kilda on Sunday because they'll have plenty of new faces after overhauling their list. Anthony Miles (Richmond), George Horlin-Smith (Geelong) and Jack Hombsch (Port Adelaide) would appear certain to play, while Jordan Murdoch (Geelong) is also a strong chance after coming to the club via trade. Sam Collins is a lock to play at full-back while Chris Burgess is also likely to get a start, with the pair both impressing after coming from state league systems. No.2 draft pick Jack Lukosius has also put his name in the frame after a strong performance against Sydney in the JLT Series. - Michael Whiting

They were $18 on sportsbet to be the last team to win a game. I put a few dollars on after the Jack Steven news came out.

If they don't beat us their draw goes Essendon, Freo in Perth, Hawthorn, Melbourne, Adelaide @ marvel, Giants away, Eagles @ marvel, Collingwood, Carlton @ marvel in r9.

Carlton plays us at Metricon R4, Bulldogs @ marvel r5, North @ marvel r7 which are all probably more winnable than the above.
From a betting perspective, Sportsbet have a promotion where they will pay you out on a head to head bet if your selected team is 12+ points up at any break. Suns are currently $4...

Is it bad the closer we get to this game, I think we can roll St Kilda. Only best us by 6 points at Metricon last year, when we stopped and had piles of injuries. Their team is arguably weaker because of the injuries, they have no strong key post defenders, hopefully allows Wright to get off the leash.

Would also not be against resting Witts in the goal square and just popping it onto of his head with the lack of height the Saints have down back.

Our midfield is the area of concern as always. Steven looks like he will play, but migt come in a bit under done after having a few weeks off. Need to utilize Witts' size in the ruck.

Pity 17er isn’t on here he could compare the two teams who played that game to the ones who are likely to come in

The first game of the season, into the unknown.

I still remember the clunker we had against the Lions 2 years ago at home, when we were expected to improve. Was it 7 goals to 0, then we got back in front late and lost by less than a kick.
Then we had a good win against North in game 1 last year.

This year? Unknown but interesting.

I did my ladder predictor last night, and I think suns can win a minimum of 5 games, and that doesn't count any surprise wins.

St Kilda I found hard to see where their wins will come from.
to be honest, our first 4 games are all winnable and i'll be disappointed if we aren't at least 2 - 2
St. Kilda at Marvel
Fremantle at Metricon
Western Bulldogs at Marvel
Carlton at Metricon

Yup, those I would back them in.

If we were 2-2 after those 4, I would be pretty happy with that.

So as I was saying somewhere else went to the Titans match with much justification to expect a good showing following an off season of good recruiting, culture change and the club having no dramas. Went with the Mrs.
Came home a few hours later soaking wet and seething at the reality that it’s another year of time and money wasted and more misery. And Mrs Bods questioning whether she wants to continue attending.
I now am very wary of this fixture for us and concerned the Supporters and Community will get a serious reality check.
If I’m wrong I’ll get a huge scotch and declare myself the Great Goose of the GC back in this forum.
Despite St Kilda’s issues we need a supreme 4 quarter effort.

Are any of you going to be there and if so will you be behind the sticks??

I’ll be there not sure on where I’ll be sitting because after 5 years of jumping into the cheer squad bay with vic Suns membership they’re asking to pay to upgrade now! And paying $230 for it I’m not comfortable paying anymore lol

Far Out Man that’s crap! It is such a good look visually for our club to have people behind the sticks on the Tele and they are being discouraged.
If I was King I’d be making it cheaper for Suns/Giants Fans to sit there just for the optics.
I again am in disbelief.

They have said that every year, and except from one game have never had to upgrade. Try your luck
