The full answer to this question were as follows:

Michael Sexton
Matthew Hogg
Andrew McKay
Adrian Whitehead
Scott Campoereale
Dean Rice (pre-season draft)
Brad Pearce (pre-season draft)
Matt Clape (pre-season draft)
Glenn Manton (pre-season draft)

Nine players of our last premiership team were drafted to the club.
The majority of our 1995 premiership team actually came to club via the old system of club zone and under 19's, reserve grade progression or the old club clearance systems like Madden cleared from Essendon to Carlton with some transfer fee going to other club in 1983.
Sticks and Braddlles via clearances from SANFL clubs in mid 80's.
Earl Spalding and Greg Williams were via trades in early 1990's

Only 5 of the 21 were via the National Draft and even that was still heavily compromised in those times and most of late 80's up to mid 90's the so called National Drafts only had Vic country based targets such as Sexton and recruits from Tasmania leagues or ACT.
Most of the best teenagers from SA or WA were usually involved in concessions to clubs like Eagles, Crows and Dockers and the best teenagers from Victoria were already tied to clubs as zone with under 19's pathway still existed to about 1993.

Camporeale in 1994 draft was about when true National Draft era started with no more under19's, zone systems around.

We are 24 seasons on from that period and when we brought Silvagni to club at end of 2015 , it was first sign we actually had a strategy in the full draft and salary cap era.
So we never have actually built a team in the draft era to win a premiership as yet....
What SOS has done is the first real build of a team for our club with a strategy that will lead to first time we have a premiership team created from teenage draftees and develop into a premiership team or teams for next decade.

It is crazy he sounds like he going to walk at end of this draft period. It reminds me of we won premiership in 1979 but still politics of club saw a favourite club great in Jezza leave. The factions and power politics that go on off field that effect our club never stop to amaze.

Anyway 9 players in total drafted to our 1995 premiership team.
I expect the next premiership team to have nearly double that.

Ross Ditchburn is the only previous Carlton premiership player drafted to club before the 95 premiership team.
In fact he is the first player in league history to be a first round draftee that became a league premiership player.

Our next premiership team will be made up almost exclusively by draftees.

Only exceptions will be

Doc
Martin*
Pittonet
Papley
Whitfield
McCluggage

:)

Q. One of the new Blues shares a surname and first initial (albeit a different first name) with a past Blue. Who and who?

Q. Name a current Blue who also shares a surname and first initial with a past Blue. Who and who?

Q. One of our recently departed Blues shared the same name with a past Blue too. Who and who?

(For example, Eddie Betts in 2020 and Eduardo Betts of 2010)
