After the truth came out, the Speaker resigned, Trudeau apologised and said it was a "mistake that deeply embarrassed parliament and Canada". Canada's parliament then unanimously voted to condemn Nazism and undo it's previous recognition of Hunka.

You folks like to raise it as if it's some "gotcha" moment that proves Ukraine is Nazi and everyone who opposes Putin is a Nazi, too. The reality is it was just a political blunder involving a 97~ year old man.

At no point did I justify the invitation to Canadian parliament. Trudeau was right to apologise. The Speaker was right to resign.
But no, it's hardly the same thing as inviting a Japanese soldier to Parliament.
