Only bright point was Farrell having a bit of a breakout game.

If someone wants to make a contrast and compare with ump decisions, today would be the perfect match.

Clog the middle, get a man back on defense and we got nothing.
i recorded the game and would love to edit up a vid, but will i get into legal trouble for it? there were many brilliant examples of double standards that would make the umps look like cheats, i thought ladhams performance was a positive

Motlop on Moore in the last 5 minutes being our FF almost cost us the game !!

Yep, and we kept kicking high balls into them. Awful matchup for us. Needed to dribble them in to allow Motlop to get some separation, but Moore is a very good defender.

I can't imagine so. You aren't putting up a replay or highlights.

There is no doubt teams have figured out our ball movement. Slow us down on the mark and we’ll bomb long to a contest because we don’t create space forward of the ball. Saw it repeatedly with Adams and co lying on the player with the ball, Sidebottom kicking the ball into the stands after a behind etc.

With Butters and Duursma injured, Houston playing with one arm, Rozee(?) we are just the slightly average team we were in 2018.
nah, get us down 3 - 5 goals in the first and that brave footy dries up fast

My pass marks on a ghastly spectacle:
Alliir - best defender
McKenzie - close second
Farrell - bar was set pretty low, but surprised and impressed me
Jones - was set up a few times but only made one clanger and generally hit targets, which was a rarity
Gray - without him, we lose. Champ.
Ladhams - after being reamed by Grundy early, fought back in the second half, and we won more clearances. Takes real grit to fight back, so kudos there
Book - got posessions and a better second half
SPP - unsighted early, but gave them options as the game wore on, and 3 or 4 bone crunching tackles
Jonas - on reflection he stopped a lot of Wood's forward thrusts
Motlop - mixed bag. So many clangers. Many buts of brilliance too..

Fails:
Club needs to make a statement here and now. No gold passes anymore. Perform, or play Ressies. A few others than the below on thin ice as well........
Rozee - SANFL
Hammer - ditto
DBJ - ditto
Marshall - ditto.

Really, the only positive to come out of this is the emotional pain it inflicted on Ed McGuire and the army of sycophants who orbit around him.
yes. its like they had no hope. we showed them the goodies, put it in their lap for 3 qtrs, and then snatched it away like taking a dummy from a baby. made it hurt all the more

Anyone bags Scott Lycett again have a look how we are traveling in ruck without him.
Lycett is an important player but I'd still like to see how a Hayes and Ladhams combo would go while he's out.

Our fragility of pre-2020 returned today. That's a worry.
Yeah, whatever we gained in '20 in terms of grinding out good wins is gone. This sucked, and we've sucked for weeks. Haven't felt confident since the Richmond game.
