Okay not playing at our best but go and ask the supporters of the 13 teams below us where they would prefer to be.
In previous years we are on the wrong side of close games now we are winning them.
We all know it is about our form in September let’s appreciate we are well on the way to being there.

You know what **** it, we played terrible but we won. I'm stoked we won. ****ing delighted. I dont care we played shit. We get more out of the fact we came back and won ugly than we would have if we had a vanilla 5-6 goal win over them.
How often do we start like that and come back and win? Never. How often are we down by 4 goals and come back and win? Never. How often are we 2 goals down at 3/4 time and win? Never. Well done to the lads on fighting that one out.
A lot of unheralded performances. I thought Motlop was really good. I thought Rozee, even though he didnt see much of the ball, his defensive pressure was excellent all day and especially in the last quarter. Farrell! Excellent. 2 of the last 3 games he's delivered. That needs to be his standard that he reaches week after week now. He's growing.
SPP! What a last quarter! Just a wrecking ball through the middle and getting it forward. Robbie. GOAT. Love him. So ****ing good. Ladhams was absolutely shithouse in the first half but he was arguably the MVP in the second half. Helped turn the game in our favour. AA was a beast down back again. Jonas very good. Jones slotted back in with class and had some real important touches in the last.
Mckenzie, good to see him slide back into the team and continue his form from last year. Thought he was real good. Boak and Wines. Guns in the middle.
Embrace the win. **** Collingwood.

This season has a very 2018 feel to it.
The worst game I can recall for a long long time. We were absolutely putrid. A "good" side would have dismissed Collingwood by 10+ goals. Can't be bothered watching whatever self-serving drivel Ken will come out with after that shitshow.
Pass marks: McKenzie, Aliir, Jonas, Gray, Farrell.
FAILS: the rest, especially DBJ, Burton, Bonner, Amon, Hartlett. Unfortunately there's virtually no depth below to put any pressure on these underperformers, but I'd really like to see DBJ, Bonner and Hartlett gone.

Hinkley plays Hartlett who can't run for shit on the wide expanse of the MCG and wonders why we didn't have any drive out of defence. Here's a hint Kern, if you want to know why Hamish isn't performing to the same level as last year:
1. The MCG isn't AO/Metricon/the Gabba.
2. Games are longer.
3. There are less rotations this year.
Put Bergman in Hartlett's spot and at least he'd run to provide options downfield and help keep our shape. There's nothing Hartlett can do that Jones can't. Might actually encourage Byrne-Jones to start taking the game on like last year too instead of giving away stupid reversal free kicks that result in shots at goal. I'm not saying I would play Bergman over Hartlett every single game, just in games at the MCG where the most important factor to creating play is run and spread due to how wide the ground is.
We've still got dumb players who don't hit the first option and then try to go for that option when it has been closed down. I simply can't accept that our coaches teach them to do this shit, because I've seen them move the ball fast. Which again comes back to play guys like Hartlett who aren't in a position to spread quick enough or take the game on.
We're absolutely missing Duursma's two way running and Butters' tenacity around the contest. At this point, I'm of the opinion that I don't care how we win games with guys like Lycett, Butters and Duursma missing as long as we win them.

Travelled over and donned the bars today. Some genius Collingwood supporter yelled in our direction that Port’s argument to the PBs makes no sense as SA was a free settlement without convicts. After suggesting that we could wear them as a tribute to their no. 1 supporter, we also noted that not being settled by convicts is not such a bad thing: “you dumb campaigner”.
