Teague did hint at others likely getting a run during his pre-match presser on Friday. So I think you’ll get your wish. I can certainly see Eddie and Simmo being rested.
Simpson, SPS, Kennedy and Gibbons all on the cards, while I think Honey will be omitted.

4 or 5 changes IMO, though the players to come in won't disappoint anyone here. Eddie won't be dropped for indigenous round, but maybe should get a rest the game after the 9-day break.

He was a bit conservative at times tonight, and we can't afford a game like that against Geelong or Collingwood.

In all seriousness that is one of the best kicks i’ve ever seen, when you consider not only the pressure but the conditions (most players struggling to strike the ball cleanly, failing to make the distance from 35m out etc).

Just insane from Newnes, so grateful to him for that moment.

Very smart by Newness, considering it was Gibbons who was supposed to take the kick.

This. It is why hated Rex Hunt as a commentator.
The scores FFS, you big dickhead. The scores....
who has the ball - and if it's ok, which end of the ground is the ******* thing at?

No one has the ball yet.

The boundary umpire has just launched the air conveyance over his shoulder boulder holder.....

fun fact - their is more umpire angst on this board tonight than theirs............
Its a funny thing how umpiring goes your way when you're on top. First half the 50/50 calls went their way, the second half they went ours. Crowd plays a part for sure, but I always believe (for the most part) positive football brings positive frees

No one will believe this but I was just about to post at 3/4 time we will win after the bell but got sidetracked at work.

I ******* hate it when work gets in the way of BigFootying....

I jumped up so quickly but my heart was still sitting nearly went through TV screen in a faint.

Newnes you bloody Rippa

I was the same. The combination of jumping up from the couch and screaming really did a number on the blood flow to the ol' noggin. Had to take a seat as I thought I was goin' down! How Bloody Good Was That! As Newnes was lining up I was thinking 'it's not too dissimilar to his goal in rd 1'. Still wasn't confident.

For large parts I reckon our forwards would have been better served if they manned up on their defender instead of trying to create. The amount of times we butchered the ball going forward and it either went to the advantage of the defender or straight to the defender...

The noise around the other 2018 draftees has dropped off these last few weeks as Walsh has stepped up again. Not potting the other guys but Walsh has seemingly taken his game to another level and you hear squat...SQUAT! (one for the Point Break fans amongst us)

Go Blues!

Very smart by Newness, considering it was Gibbons who was supposed to take the kick.

The replay shows that as the players set up for the Freo player to take the kick from Doc's OOBOTF, Newnes was closest, and the umpire closest to the ball pointed to him. By that time, Gibbons have moved further down the field.

So perhaps the umpire made a mistake, but it wasn't due to us trying to con him, we all thought it was a Freo ball.

The most underrated player we have and he continues to defy the doubters every week.
Changed our team last year when he went on ball and was for mine BOG by a country mile tonight.
Lets hope his little brother works his arse off like Ed does and he will become a superstar.
Ed is a warrior plain and simple, tough as an old boot and never surrenders, and yes his brother works just as hard as Ed but with a lot more natural talent thrown in.

Fiddy-five out, after siren, toughest angle at distance on the ground cameraman giving you the s***s.

Jack “just-give-it-to-me-clutch-af” NEWNES.

take a bow!
It’s probably lucky I wasn’t at the game cause I would have dragged that camera man over the fence and beat him with all his crap that was lying around, Newnes should have used him for a practice kick when he didn’t move straight away, I was going spare when he sat back down without moving himself and his garbage.
