Went to quote a few of yours in the live thread but closed so disnt get a chance. Watching in delay and even now, your posts are unbearably pessimistic. Any chance of a half half full or even a balanced post? Haven't seen a more negative poster on here and it stands out like Levi's kicking for goal. Sure, things arent fantastic but no where near as bad as the tone you paint it with.

Who hurt you, Styxx? I may actually have to ignore your posts... not for overly disagreement or not liking you. But because your posts make me want to curl up into a ball.

Apologies mods for playing the man. Frustrating night all in all but Styxx, Man, you've put me over the edge. Lighten up.

Historically I would like to think I have been pretty balanced, but tonight was the tipping point for me.

Everyone who bothers to read, if your going to play the man at someone. Play it at me, call me all sorts of names, call me a campaigner for all I care....because I don't anymore.

After 31 years, you just hit that point where you realize its all for nothing.

Great to come back twice. Lots of positives. Many positives.

This is going to sound harsh but we lost the game because of Paddy Dow. When he was in the middle and at stoppages we lost the ball almost every time. When he wasn’t, we dominated. His 9 possessions, 2 missed shots at goal, 2 howlers where he missed wide open targets inside 50, and to cap it off, ended the game with a poor tackle.

Has some nice attributes but he needs to be dropped and play out the year in the Magoos. Learn how to play again
I can think of a half a dozen reasons we lost ..and it's not because of one player...

I managed to avoid the footy all night. I wanted to watch it when I got home. Then some prick ruined it for me. “Bulldogs by three points. That’s five out of five”. I’m hoping a bus takes him out on the way home. Not really. However keep your mouth shut next time. Go Blues. You must have played pretty well.

All in all, a lot to like. They scored too easily. We had long lapses in intensity.

Back to training, go into the bye and work on the wrinkles

To me we got into the game because of Dow.

Funny I'm actually feeling better about this game then the Bulldogs supporters
So am I. Main reason being that some of the doubts I had about the prospects of several youngsters has been dispelled; Obrien especially, but also really liked what I saw from Dow.

MK was good in patches, but speculating that had English been playing for the Blues tonight, we'd have won the game by 4 ot 5 goals; his tap work in 1st half was pretty slick.

Respect Murphy's contribution over the years, but he's already received his due accolades for past performances. He now appears cooked.

I get it man. And it ****ing sucks. I get you've reached your limit and the many many positives are now completely invisible to you. But you obviously still care enough to post and watch? You've got the passion, find your resilience again and dial it up 5 notches for the rest of season.

Effort was there. We really need to work on closing a game down when we get a lead and don't let sides get a run on.
The luls in our game play will come to an end with experience in our list and a better fitness base.
We really did get done over by the umpiring department but you can't expect to win if you don't play hard for the full contest but again that will come with experience.
This list is exciting and evolving before our eyes now that the shackles have been released from being over coached.

Good effort boys but there's plenty of work to be done to go from honourable losses to hard fought dominant wins which will come about sooner rather than later. Go Blues!

I will call myself out and say I wrote off Levi many years ago. I probably said something along the lines of ‘he wouldn’t get a game on any other team and whilst he is on Carlton’s list it’s an indication that we’re still bouncing around rock bottom’. Probably said it a thousand times.

Man, he is a different proposition when he doesn’t have to kick for goal - Credit where it’s due and definitely deserves to keep his spot on current contribution.

Agree, been a revelation as a defender, Jones style reinvention

What a bizarre breaking point. We just changed coach. The season is done. Our star forward has hit some form again, the young guys are almost all stepping up and we have just lost a game by 3 points where we showed as many positives as frustrating moments. Sleep on it.

We are on the bottom of the ladder. There are no inferior sides
There are no sides below us on the ladder. That’s different ...
Make no mistake, there are five or six sides, inferior to us.
