We desperately need an enforcer. Cripps, Buckley and Murphy are getting the tish kicked out of them and we have no one who can or will come in and stand up for them. White is ok, but Tuohy once upon a time took no crap but he seems to become a pacifist. Bell needs to stop trying to be arbitrator and get in there and start making his presence known as does the man mountain Levi. We are coming against Richmond, Hawthorn and the drug cheats, and they will smash first then apologise for it after the game. Next three weeks will give us a true indication of how much work we have in front of us.
Someone needed to king hit Lynch. Absolute dog act as Buckley was running out an injury, he blatantly ran over the top of him, then spent the next 5-10 minutes digging into buckley - the smallest guy in the backline. The umpires told him to stop, and he didnt. Then White pulled him away to stop him and got a free kick paid against.

I agree, Kreuzer was very influential today, yet didn't get in the best players by the media. Slowly building his fitness and improving every game. Will be a terrific asset in games to come.

most media voters are sheep , they wait for some "ex know it all" to vote then all fall into line

I thought it all started with kreuzer's brilliant ruck work and around the ground dominance in the air , just an opinion

For the best part of the last 2 seasons, we have been without our number 1 ruck in Kreuzer, he makes our team that much better. Firstly his presence out on the ground has been missed severely, his second and third efforts are second to none, he also plays like an extra midfielder. The fact is he is an important player and adds that different dimension to the side. He will have trade currency but he will go no where. Warnock has run out of time and will not be at Carlton next year, he was an expensive VFL player and will free up cap space. I believe this to be his last year contracted so we will delist him as I am not sure we will be able to get anything for him. I am happy to be corrected if I am wrong. With youngsters such as Cripps, Buckley, Docherty, Menzel, Graham and now Holman all have shown they are more than capable of coming in and playing there roles. All of a sudden there is some light at the end of the tunnel and the culture seems to have changed with the players not allowing other teams to bully or cheap shot our players, as team mates are coming in and sticking up for one another, letting other sides know we won't allow those acts to go without reprisal. With a team effort and spreading the load, even the kids playing there roles well, guys like Murphy, Gibbs and co are now relishing the opportunity to play there natural game as they are no longer restricted by heavy tags or having to play different roles which was making then lose confidence and little to no impact on the game, now that we have a much better team balance and structure. The forwards are even getting more supply and our attacks from half back are now impacting the score board. So many positives out of the last 4 weeks, but still a lot of work to be done. Hopefully over the coming weeks if the effort and confidence remain we will trouble sides and chalk up a few more wins.

Seriously Warnock has been one of the worst decisions the club has made since our obliteration by the AFL commission .... cost us pick 23 (I think), lots and lots of cap space for zero return, how many games has he been injured?, how crap is he around the ground?, how uncoordinated is he?, has there ever been a player who looked more like he was just out there for a pay cheque? .... and finally he ended up costing us an AA ruck man (Sauce) due to us backing him over Jacobs!

I would trade him for a bag of viniger soaked, soggy chips that were covered in dirt .... and I would relish the taste knowing that that oxygen thief was GAWN from our list.

Imaging he had the heart and desire of Woods!

Say what you want about Woods but he has been an absolute bloody bargain while that waste of list space has been our fifth highest paid player .... our fifth!

Would you say any of that to Warnock's face, do ya reckon?

Really hope Carlton issues a please explain for that tom lynch second second goal free kick against White.

I demand that umpire gets fined or suspended from umpiring for that decision. It was either gross negligence or cheating and it deserves to be punished
Port Board.

and last year too:D

So it was worthwhile that Mick headed up to Port Douglas to have a chat to him? :)

Jones will also be O.K. if we play to him........even Dick will be good value for a free and cheap hit.

I'm just not so sure about Tutt. Well, maybe I am but don't want to be.

Also want to check - what are the rules for sheparding in the ruck?

I thought a team had to nominate a ruckmen, and those two would enter the ruck contest and could grapple etc, and if a third player sheparded against a nominated ruckman - then it was a free kick.

In the third term Nicholls got a free kick for sheparding in the ruck by Cripps. But Cripps nominated for the ruck and Wood came in as third man and got the tap. Free kick was paid by the umpire 50 metres away who hadnt seen who had nominated for the ruck. Unfortunately due to replays of Lynch being a dog against Buckley - this isnt clear in the replay.

At the game it looked like Cripps didn't go for the ball and stopped Nichols from being able to compete. That should be a free every time. Same thing happened to Kruze against Port but no free.

This type of talk about any player who has worn the Carlton jump is frankly pathetic.

It was right in front of us, and it looked like Cripps was jostling with him as man in front, but couldnt jump up because Nicholls was all over him. Umpire who bounced it saw no issues with the contest - whilst the umpire 50 metres away blew his whistle.

Knockers did lift in finals for us, I'll always appreciate that about him. His flaws in general are well documented. It's not his fault we way overpaid for him though.

Great win - good to see the boys turn it around after quarter time
Must admit GC looked ordinary. Much prefer the style of game we are playing.
Much higher conversion of forward entries into scoring shots which is limiting the rebound goals against

Great game by Keuz, Bell, Murph, Cripps, Everitt and loved the cameo by Holman.
Also loved the run from the backline
Not much love on this forum for Carrots - mentioned once in the previous 9 pages - 14 contested possessions and 8 clearances - still need him I think.

I am looking forward to the rest of the year, would like to see Boeky, Johnson get games
but going forward the opposition will not be as easy as the last 3 weeks

Raines was a disgrace, cripps was gut punched all day and holding on at every opportunity.
You'd think Raines would go for his own ball occasionally.

But nup.

So true, I thought Carrots played really well. He looked a fair bit freer than he has in the past and it suited him.

Can we have Everitt back....?

Huge win fellas! I was there and it was so sweet to watch. Graham a huge chance for the nomination this week, he's proving Mick wrong. Pretty psyched for the game next week , equally nervous.... you've got a red hot shot against us. Savor the B2B :D

No Everitt is ours...

You can take Jones back though
