2 in a row, and i rate us a huge chance to go three in a row next week to set up a big game against the tigers in round 15. Also note that barker has won 2 from 4 with the same list that Malthouse could only get 1 from 7 and didnt rate.

Kreuzer - 22 hitouts, 17 disposals, 8 marks. Well done big fella. And Wood wasnt far behind.
Buckley was awesome, providing the run and enthusiasm Id dearly love to see Yarran doing.
Cripps, standing tall all over the ground.
White - I think continually underrated. I dont think he'll go when Jamison comes back, but then Im not sure who will.
Murphy - another great game.
bell - sometimes struggles skillwise, but he keeps going. I think thats representative of the entire team at the moment.
Cripps, Graham, Buckley - theres a core to go on with if there ever was.

Negatives -
Our goalkicking - 3.7 in the third was pretty poor, and many were gettable.
Menzel should have gone off and stayed off as soon as that knee went. I hate clubs the idea of putting injured players back out on the park, especially with his injury.

Ellard will probably go again, out for Jamison. I think White will be retained - he's been pretty good for mine, giving Jamison the freedom to attack up the ground - which I love the idea of. Boekhurst in for Menzel if he cant get up.
This.

I'd like to see Boekhorst start, yet wouldn't want to see Holman with the vest again.

Like that Casboult got his 3 goals and could have had even more.

Hardly the worst forward in the comp like some GC fans were saying on their board

What I don't get is despite our dominance statistically with 130 more disposals, with nearly double the clearances and three times the centre clearances we still only managed to enter our forward fifty 52 times to their 47. So despite our dominance in play we entered our forward fifty, five more times.. Were we overusing the ball? Approximately one entry into our forward line for every 8 disposals.

Dirk we spent a good part of the game chipping the ball sideways across half back, hence the dominance in stats.

Gold Coast are a seriously bad team though. Only two players registered over 20 touches.

Great effort from Holman to pick up 8 disposals in his time on the ground.

agree , they were terrible

huge issues with their coach . culture , coke , reliance on ablett , ..................................

would like charlie dixon in our team !!

Can't help but feel we're slower playing with 2 rucks..

Felt as if Wood was spending pretty much most of the game in the forward line. He didn't have a bad game but surely we could do with another runner in his place.

have to disagree thought wood & kreuzer tag team today smashed them , would keep both in the team for mine !!

Not overusing it, just keeping possession and trying to hit up a lead into our forward line when we could, which is better than the constant bomb it long tactic.

Suns have high I50 count considering their possessions because most were long kicks to Lynch and Dixon.

It worked for us we had 30 shots on goal, just didn't convert.

We also kicked 14:19.

33 scoring shots from 52 entries is decent.

I feel that next week against the Dogs will give us a better indication of just how good we really are. The Dogs are a very good side and play with a lot of aggression and apply a lot of pressure on the ball carrier and will not allow us much time or space. We will also need to make a lot less mistakes, although if we come to play we will match it with them.

Is Holman a better user of the pill than some (such as myself) just assumed from reading some reports?

Seem to remember the only other time I've seen him play (at AFL level) he had a good clean and composed pass or two inside 50, so he has it in him. Could he end up a better Mitch Robinson?
The good thing with Holman is you will never see him try & kick the leather off the ball. He'd rather pinpoint a 30 metre pass than bomb the thing long. He potentially could have had a long shot on goal in the last quarter, but instead he hit one of his teammates on the chest to set up a certain goal.

I like White too. Would like him to stay in the team. I reckon he is our most appropriate match up for Stringer next week.

Problem is if Jamo comes back for someone other than White or Rowe, we lose some run and we can't drop any of Simpson, Yarran, Tuohy, Buckley or Docherty...might be in for Rowe or could even be left out?? It will be interesting to see.

His first instinct is to always do the team thing, it's a great attribute.
