Aaron Hall (broken finger) test

Pearce Hanley (shoulder) – 2-3 weeks

Sean Lemmens (hamstring) – test

Harrison Wigg (ankle) – test

Peter Wright (calf) – test

From Fox Sports so don't know how offical it is, but that is what I like to see. Could conceivably have just Hanley on the injury list come the end of Rd2
So Ahchee is right to go then.. Does the ressies season proper start this week? Because it could be the best team we have ever fielded!

No - having a NEAFL scratch match against Brisbane Lions in Brisbane.
NEAFL season starts following week against Aspley

Looking forward to this one. Odds are probably in our favour being a home game and with your lot coming off a shorter break and wet game early in the season, but I'd normally assume the Sun's running power would be a little better than ours. We'll probably see a couple of changes (i.e. Lang into our side and probably Williamson) who will be having their first hitout, and we are playing a markedly different game style. Can't be sure of how we will perform week to week this early.

Good luck and hope it's a good game.

How are Kreuzer and Kennedy looking?

Still waiting to hear like everyone else, really. Some indications in the media they will be good to go, but we'll only really know if they are out there at the first bounce. Pretty critical they are there for us, so hopefully ok.

Last year our selection conundrum was Cam Loersch or Matty Shaw
It was not! Don't exaggerate! Matty Shaw was a certainty! But better than the previous year when it was Luke Russell and before that it was Joel Wilkinson.. fu"k we all have the patience of Saints! Not St Kilda Saints they can keep Mav Weller!

Suns tackle and chase pressure has been awesome so far. They also look more organised when the opposition has the ball. Beating Carlton will give everyone at the club a lot of confidence and also anger Victorian footy fans.

Sorry for the intrusion, but I think you’ll find most VIC footy fans would be VERY happy to see you knock us off.

There is an article on AFL.com.au about hall resuming training to play v carlton. It also mentions hanley tracking really well and likely to return rd 3.

Historically I have been one of the most vocal posters on the Melbourne media’s treatment of our club but I have to say we shouldn’t care what they say. We have been an easy target and will remain so until we win more than we lose.

I care more about what our little band thinks than the media and other bf posters combined. We are on the right path as a club and if they can’t see it I look forward to it whacking them on the nose

Well said Iva, we have some of the best under 23 players in the land, if not the best. With most of the blokes who were prolific on the weekend being under 23 such as Mcpherson, Fiorini, Bowes, Ainsworth, Miller. Also blokes such as Joyce, Wright, Brodie, etc. we have 17 players under 21, and our best players May, Lynch (if he stays), Swallow, Lyons, Young, etc are all in their mid 20s reaching their primes, the future looks bright.

Are any of you Brothers or Sisters of the Board going to be behind the posts waving the GC Flag at this game???
Absolutely. Unfortunately the club is really difficult in finding out how to do this. Last year was difficult enough, the seemed to have added more hurdles.

Great news you will be there CB. Club should make it easy, our cheer squad tends to be a bit small.
Love to one day go to an away game and sit in that area.
Anyway good on you CB for flying the flag.

I called them last year and said the same thing it looks great when there is a group of Suns fans there in Melbourne. I'm heading up to GC for the first time since i was very young this december. Unfortunately not footy season but looking forward to seeing Metricon

there's nothing wrong with Victorian footy fans. footy is tribal and our tribe comes from far and wide.

I will be there. Message me mate, you know the drill. I will get you in. You keen to give us a hand with the banner too?

Can't wait to see us on a dry track as mentioned above.

Imagine Witts down to Swallow who breaks a tackle and handballs off to Bowes flying of the side of the square runs 20m and weights pin point pass to space for Ainsworth who slides in and marks 30m out.
imagine there's no heaven........
