I’m looking forward to seeing how we perform in controlled and dry conditions. I’m confident of a win but maybe that’s just unfounded optimism.

Historically I have been one of the most vocal posters on the Melbourne media’s treatment of our club but I have to say we shouldn’t care what they say. We have been an easy target and will remain so until we win more than we lose.

I care more about what our little band thinks than the media and other bf posters combined. We are on the right path as a club and if they can’t see it I look forward to it whacking them on the nose

The biggest concern with this game will be the umpiring. A cauldron of carlton fans screaming for ball everytime a suns player is touched is intimidating for any umpire.

Happened last year against Carlton, a lot of people had us winning that day and then Carlton came in and just smashed us around the contest, most of our players second to the ball. Hopefully it works the other way this time.

We were tracking along ok last season up until we played Carlton at Carrara and once again that imbecile Rocket Eade’s inability to have us firing for a critical game was exposed with Carlton playing us off the park with enthusiasm on our own deck and once again the fans went home disappointed.
I’m extremely wary of Carlton. Their Coach is doing a great job.

Yeah Carlton were much harder and very aggro in a faux tough guy way. Definitely put us off our game. Can’t let them get away with that shit again.

To be fair to Marcus there was more going on with some of those longterm injuries than just staright out physiology and soft tissue damage
Fish Matera seems to be moving pretty well this year for a guy that spent the last 2 months of 2017 season in a moonboot for instance
That one was a 2 weeker if I recall
Like I say- beware the out of contract player wearing a moonboot or shoulder sling in the last half of the year

Internally I think the Suns know where they are at, you have a young list like us. Its going to take time to gel together as a young group, under a new Coach.

Looking forward to this game, we flat out ran out of legs against the tigers last week, due to two things, we are a young list as well, and we were 2 rotations down due to injuries.

I hope your team recovers and we see what both teams can bring on a fast dry deck.
