Like the commentators barracking for one more goal for the Tigers

Definitely home towN umpiring.
Rather than the salary cap assistance it might help to equalize the umpires across every state.
That was an absolute shocking display by all 3.

Richmond had the rub of the green the whole match and that stretch of 1 or 2 minutes when Brisbane had a few 50-50 calls go their way they comment on the "rub of the green" in the Lions favour. I am honestly sick of getting killed by the umpires every match.

Our midfielders really stepped up in the second half. Rich and Redden picked up 12+ possessions in the second half after quiet first halves. Rockliff again was our best midfielder. Lester shows some nice hands around the packs too.

Oh, and please sign Hanley up for a very very long time!!

I don't care about come backs anymore. They are symptomatic of everything we lack. another shocking first 1/4, undiciplined freekicks, dumb 50 meter penalties.. our dicipline is a disgrace, what ever happened to turn that Martin set shot over, that player should be dropped, Merrett needs to use his brain when under pressure he has cost us in the clutch on at least 5 occasions this year. The yeo chase at the end highlights what is wrong with us when it comes to free kicks .. He Chases, works his ass off, player slips over, loses possesion and yeo falls straight into his back and it was completely uneccessary, there's no free kick conspiracy againts us we are just undiciplined and sloppy.

Story of our season I reckon. Can't remember how many times that's been said in game day threads this season.
I still take solice in the fact that the boys fought back hard, refused to let the flood gate open and almost won the game. Solid signs for life without Black & Brown.:thumbsu:

Now we do I sign up for the Matt Crouch bandwagon?

Would take Tom Rockliff over Trent Cotchin every day of the week.

Serious man crush on Rocky, should be our captain.

A so-called Brisbane supporter "Hench" is his name....has just posted on the BF AFL gameday thread that Yeo is a ******** idiot. Don't you just wish they would barrack for someone else!

Poor first half and a couple if late howlers from the refs. Still not bad for a young team, especially since it looked like a 100 point belting on the way at half time

As a Lions fan, I can honestly tell you I have no idea what hometown umpiring is:(

This was a good fight back. We were well and truly outplayed in the first half but finished well and played like a team that knew it could do better.

The 3 R's were again very good and I am really liking what I see from Yeo and Docherty (or Doherty as those idiots in the commentary box called him). O'brien will improve with more experience. Luenberger was great.

Not a win and not a consistent four quarters but the effort was there and we look like a team that can work out how to get back into games when things don't go well. I think we have come a long way since round one.

Actually really happy after that. We lost, but that showed genuine development. Earlier this season there would've been forty more points in that margin. In fact, with no Black, Brown, McGrath or Moloney (for a half), probably even more than that.

Two more wins for the year over the next few weeks, hopefully a competitive performance against the Cats and then into the pre-season with renewed hope.

Proud of the effort they showed to come back today. Good stuff.
