You're right, grand final at KP
The AFL will never let that happen. WE barely get 9 home games there.
We certainly dont get home Finals there bc of crowd or advertising i mean the AFL wishes....

If you wanna be dick - do it somewhere else.
Be reasonable and ypu'll be fine.

GO CAtters

:( ok
Where do we all hope this might happen? I'm personally hoping Adelaide because I only have to drive 7 hours but Perth could be too far.

I agree.

I think if Port finish top 2 theyll get an AO final..if we finish top 2 itll be at MCG with no crowds (although it should be in geelong)...but if port lose on friday night so theres little chance we have to play in adelaide id honestly rest half the team especially with how many older guys we have. That said we dont have a great record off a bye so maybe we are better to keep the guys going.
Don't think we'll flirt too much with team structure and potential form.

Melbourne have their forwards push up and then they back their backline to win the ball and push back into the forward line quickly where they're often left unguarded. The key to beating Melbourne Is to lower the eyes going forward and not bomb it long where Lever and may can intercept.
Isn’t that the game plan teams should be using against Geelong too?

It was more what i would do than what i think we will i agree its too radical for us. I just think the week off would do the older players the world of good and help our flag chances.

Yes true but I wouldn’t be resting any of the defensive 7 or 8. They need some practice together to sort things out post Stewart injury.

I agree and i was thinking more the other end of the ground..id rest selwood and hawk for example, probably higgins and rohan and maybe dahl (who plays a very physically taxing style) those type of guys. But i doubt we will.

Surely an empty final at the MCG is off the cards?

If we are playing to an empty stadium we will push extremely hard to have it in Geelong, you would think. And if that's not possible I can see us playing somewhere interstate in front of a crowd.

We couldn't even play at Geelong against Richmond during the H&A, instead they opted for an empty MCG because 'reasons'. Only way we get a Geelong final is if Melbourne is still crowdless while Geelong has at least some crowd.

Have you all forgotten our post bye hoodoo? Surely better off without it?

resting players good idea, problem is when we did that against gws we got smashed up, it can backfire on you.

Coaches probably want an insight into how the teams matchup, only thing is opposition learns as much as you do

Exactly it puts so much more pressure on those who do play and play to win.See Tuohy and Rohan with soft tissue injuries when we had 4 out v North. No I preferer to go in full strength and share the work load. Genuine niggles are a different story.

At this point in the year half the team would have niggles, though. Where do you draw the line?

Surely we won’t take this game easy like many are suggesting.
If Port win we will be travelling if we lose….

The beauty is we'll know the outcome before we play.

As for us taking it easy, I think WB have to go all guns blazing so I give them a good chance. If they lose, they're out of the 8 - Brisbane will smack the Eagles around on the Gabba and make up the 1.7% diff without a problem.

Mighty Mark won't let you in mate :)
Better off fuelling up the Range Rover and heading for Falls Creek.....................toot , toot ;)

I think you meant the 4.
