Bell is quickly becoming my favourite player.

His strength and size allows him to do things hardly anyone else can. He gets tackled but can still barge on and dispose of the ball.

And he's a goal kicking mid.

27 touches and 2 goals and from what I saw no brain explosions - his best game for the club.

He's looking more and more like Kouta early in his career what with that build and the hair.

We are terrible, and cannot see where the improvement is going to come from anytime soon.

The only good thing to have come out of our first 6 games this year is Cripps.

Not making excuses but one of our major problems due to our crap recruiting over the past 10 years is a lack of playing depth. And if you are missing your best defender in Jamieson, best running player in Yarran, Henderson our best KP forward and our best small forward in Menzel and throwing Kruzers' absence over the past 2 seasons, we end up at the bottom of the ladder.

That's is why we have to get the next 3 or 4 drafts right if we are get up the ladder.

People can blame the players all they want, but the players don't look like they know what they are doing out there.

When the entire team just throws the ball on the boot without looking, then IMO its more a gameplan thing than a player decision.
Our easiest goals came in the first term when we actually directed passes to leading forwards on a couple of occasions, the forwards looked good because the space they created was rewarded and the ball user looked good because they actually hit targets.

Other than those few times, we did what we have been doing all season long, win the ball out of a pack and throw it on the boot without looking, or kick long high ball both out of defence and into the forward line.
Heck, even Brisbane were kicking the ball to the favour of their forwards, yet all we ever do is kick long and high without considering who we are kicking too.

MM must go and he must take every one of his asisatant coaches with him.

So frustrating watching the half backers win a contest and get the ball moving quickly forward, only for a bloke on the wing to look up and see only 2 lions in our forward half. The structure is shit and they push up WAY too far. We need at least one tall and one small to stay forward of centre the whole time.

Backline is so unorganized. They just don't do the basics right, we struggle to clear the ball, we caravan our opponents constantly and we don't structure well enough.

Yeah the ball comes down a lot, but we get scored on too often and easily.Theres no ownership, no direction down there.....whichever coach is in charge of this area has failed terribly..... even without Jamo,Simmo etc there still should be a unified system down back...we have chaos.

Disposal and decision making would be the worst in the comp. This bomb it long or slam it on the boot and hope for the best shit does my ******* head in.

Jones is VFL at best, cant understand what others see in him...and no thats not an observation based on that late OTF its based on what i saw athe dogs and what im seeing him produce at Carlton. Give Watson a run.

Levi looked better today. I'm generally happy with most of the younger guys.

Jaksch must be one of the worst disposers in the competition. Every time he has the ball in his hand, I worry. A lot more than I should need to. It's frightening.

I didn't see much of the game but a lot of poor disposal choices (under pressure).

Yes, he is capable of much more than that. He is a former number 1 draft pick. He needs to be hitting 35+ to be a game winner. Not getting 23 soft touches.

Imagine Bell had a good football brain. He has the body and ability to be the next Kouta. Love seeing him forward of centre, but hold my breath every time he gets it in defense.
