Not sure why we'd be dropping Bramble. He's been very solid. Libba in for Harmes potentially. Or for VDM if he's out. We still need a wing runner so a bit of an adjustment there as Libba is a definite in.

Not sure Marra is back yet, didn't sound likely from Bevo's post match. Lobb has to stay.

Agreed. Bramble stays in for mine.

Hard to see a decent amount of changes to the side after a performance like that but Libba for Sanders seems the obvious one.

Lobb was immense on the weekend he has to stay in to quell the Jackson/Darcy ruck combo
Considering B&J Williams rucked v Darcy & Jackson and WCE still won....WBD just got to make sure they dominate the clearances and midfield battle....English & Darcy should suffice if JUH comes back in.

The back 6 locks seem to be Jones, Buku, JOD, Dale, Duryea, JJ. Likely Richards as well, but has now shown he's OK in the midfield which gives us flexibility on that 7th player. Williams has played his best back there this season, and Bramble has also been good. With JOD coming back in, effectively one of these guys now has to move or miss out. That's why Bramble has been a drop according to some. I'd push him to the sub.

OUT: Sanders
IN: Liberatore

Backs: JOD, Buku, Jones, Dale, Duryea, JJ, Richards
Mids: English, Libba, Bont, Macrae, Treloar, Williams, Garcia, Gallagher
Forwards: Darcy, Naughton, Weightman, Lobb, West, Harmes, VDM
Sub: Bramble

I think Darcy, Harmes, VDM, Gallagher and Williams are all on the fringe as well - either due to performance or rest. May look to give some of these guys a spell at some stage.

The enigma that is the dogs you just do not know what you are going to get. The glass half full is we have been going ok having only played 2 bad quarters the last quarters against dees and bombers. The glass half empty is we failed our 2 tests against better opposition the cats and dees and could not match it with a fired up bombers. We are getting the same as last season.

Really if we are any good we need to win our next 3 against Freo, Hawks and tigers get to 5/3 and reset.

Away guernsey back in action unfortunately, the stripes are barely visible when tucked in, so low.

Why would they be dropping Sanders? They’re easing him into the top level.
Because we want to try and pick our best team to try and win games this year to try and make finals and win the flag?

Sanders' form over the last 2-3 games hasn't demanded selection, and he's also less flexible in playing other positions than other players we've been rolling through the centre bounce.

After we started the season 2-1, Whatley and Robbo on 360 ran a short piece on the Bulldogs. At the time, it was hard to know where we sat after two big wins against weak opposition, and another heavy round one loss to Melbourne.

Robbo said, "The next four weeks for the Bulldogs will tell us we're they're at."

Whatley responded, "They'll probably go 2-2 and we'll still be none the wiser."

At the time, I agreed and thought it was likely we'd go 2-2. To achieve that, we'll need to win this week. Although if you gave me 2-2 a couple of weeks ago, I'd have declined. Only 3-1 or 4-0 was a pass.

Anyone else find JUH situation odd. Went home for family reasons which is fine. Then reported he attended the boxing Saturday night and had a couple of drinks then didn't attend training today.

Extremely strange, either you have personal issues to deal with (which is absolutely fine) or you don’t, you can’t have personal issues when it’s time to work but not have them when you have events with friends. As it’s being reported he was out with friends not family.

On face value definitely makes things muddier when you read your post.

JUH is allowed to live his life and the club have no issue with it

Friends probably asked him to go out with them to take his mind off things. He wasn't expected at training today. Doesn't really sound odd to me.

Personally, if I told my workplace I needed a bit of leave because of an ill family member, I would hope they wouldn't expect me to spend 100% of my time either with family or at home by myself.

The mental resources needed to go out with a few mates and lock in for footy training/playing are pretty dramatically different. Not being up to the latter doesn't necessarily mean you can't do anything.

Within reason, I'd hope JUH is doing whatever he can to keep his spirits up and help him get through what is probably a tough time.

I don’t think it was unfair to be reported on nor unfair for people to find it odd.

There is little to no context around his absence for personal reasons or a return date and that is totally fair. We have no right to the personal aspects of players lives in the context of family and mental health etc.

The issue is the AFL is a media centric industry and media are going to report on anything and everything. Certain things will create a perception rightly and wrongly and the events with a lack of context create a perception that there may be a story and the media run with it.

I think it’s fair to think it’s odd and I think it’s fair to the media said this happened. If his professionalism gets questioned then it goes beyond being fair.

I don’t think we need to get too precious over this.
