It was a very tough time for their family obviously and it was shortly after I lost my father so emotions were running high.George....I usually see him doing things every time I drop by the ground.
That's so sad to hear about his daughter.
What a magnificent gesture by the club to have him cutting the ribbon alongside Prez !!!!!!!!
He would have felt incredibly proud.
As you said...well done Saints !!!!!!
are you for real .... thats all you take away from the club returning home .... Really ???Wheres the red white and black on the building? Theres 4 red random windows to offset the black and white on the ground side. ******* hell that looks shit.

Really no i spent my childhood watching our superstars with my lifetime mates. Im ecstatic that were back at moorabin. I was broken when we left losing 09 10 didnt help. It was just my vision had more of a spiritual look. I wanna take my son for a kick there and be blown away with our colours everywhere. Not a couple of red windows.are you for real .... thats all you take away from the club returning home .... Really ???
Give me your honest opinion do you think they nailed the facade and inner facade in regards to our beloved colours?
Nothing to do with architecture its about our beloved red white and black stripes. I cant see it anywhere.Have you seen the abortion that they did on the junction oval. Never complain about football club architecture again while that thing is left standing.
The North wing that has just opened will have a lounge/café/bar in an area adjacent to the pokies area......with also a bistro/functions set up near there.....so I guess that "social activities" will happen in those areas.Sorry to intrude, just wondering if your club were keeping their ‘social club’ and bar there? Just asking as I think it’s nice you’ve still got one after every other vic club canned their on site social club. Wish we had kept ours at Princes Park, very fond memories there. Anyway congrats on the new facilities they look fantastic. Ta
I’ll be heading there Friday if anyone wants candid shots...
No nudes?JUst a few shots of the buildings and surrounds will be fine thanks Barrels.
Not if they're selfies!No nudes?
PM me.No nudes?
George...when you mentioned about watching the boys train there....I remember in the late 70's....we were pretty bad then but not as bad as we were in the mid 80's.....a group of us would ride our push bikes down to the ground(most of us were doing HSC then) and watch training....we didn't talk about our great wins...we just had a laugh at our terrible/horrible losses....was bizarre when you think about it but it's all we had.
I think it was about then big Carl had come back after his stint at Melbourne......the ball flew over the fence towards us...one of the guys kicked it back....to big Carl.
He said thanks and we all went into shock....he sounded like a mouse...not this big feared enforcer we all thought he was...lol.
Yes, an old client played under him in Swan Hill. Reckons he was one of the quietest coaches he ever played for.
Mind you Carl was a school teacher.
Absolutely jaw dropping.
No but his uncle stayed at your place...Where you his boss?
