Need to coach outside the four walls of RFC...get some more coaching experience, good bloke loved by all, is not a resume`header...What about Kane Lambert? Has the footy smarts and such a good bloke loved by all.
Agree. That's why I want Leppitsch. Can take the best stuff from our dynasty and also the inspiring stuff Pies are doing under Fly and mold it all together in his own way.It has to be someone from outside the club. We need new ideas and opinions imo
But does Dusty like biscuits?!?Head Coach - Trent Cotchin
Assistants - Riewoldt , Grigg , Lambert , Rance , Astbury
Dusty takes over from Balmey when he retires
Your username isn't embarrassing any more.
Agree...got the rest of the Season to vet all the suitable candidates...I'm sure B.G. will cross all the I's and dot the T's...From left field, I hope Josh Carr throws his hat in the ring. 4 years as an assistant at Port, then coached his own team North Adelaide for 4 years including a premiership, 3 years at Freo as an assistant and now back at Port as their midfield coach and they're doing ok.
Appears very highly rated by footy insiders.
I just hope there is a thorough process and trust & support whoever comes out on top to do the job, without the anchor of not being seen as the ideal candidate from those of us in the cheap seats without inside knowledge.
That is a tough call...It has to be someone from outside the club. We need new ideas and opinions imo
Leppa is Head of strategy @ Pies as well as forwards coach, so one might argue he's already proving that he's more than just a line coach. Plus he's the one making a lot of calls from the box while Fly is down on the bench.I can’t get way people are so hell bent on Leppitsch. There is nothing to suggest he’ll be nothing more then a great line coach.
Use Voss as a prime example. Failed coach, very good line coach went back to being a coach loaded with resources and a good list and failing again.
with the rule changes the game suites the pies, Dees and cats game style. it about taking that to the next level and Mcrae is doing thatThat is a tough call...
We were the trend setters in new ideas and footy tactics, that were successful and generated 3 out of 4 Grand Finals!
Who do you turn to, when you were the best, for new ideas?!? Geelong...the last premiers?!?
Lambert can't travel.co-coaches you reckon??
No current season stats available
Please no no no to Bucks

You don’t turn to anyone in particular naming guys already means we are changing what the criteria should be to fit in the name eg LeppaThat is a tough call...

What have they done??!I'm a big NO for Leppa, he is a career assistant coach, much like Caracella.
Time for a new name, new ideas, Josh Carr or Jaymie Graham I'd go for.
You want Eddie wearing a Tiger scarf?I wonder why Leppitsch is high on the preference? No doubt he has been a very good assistant coach for us, however when he was the senior coach for Brisbane it was a step too far for his capabilities and wasn't that great.
It's kind of funny how there are some people who say "I don't want Buckley. He wasn't a good coach but in the same breath say they want Leppitsch."
Buckley got Collingwood to the Grand Final and multiple prelims. Only had probably two really bad years in his 11 years coaching. Leppitsch had 3 seasons with a 21% winning percentage.
