Oh well time to move on, erase the game from our hard drives

Against teh cats we need to come out snarling, they are soft and if you take it up to them they will fold.

I have a feeling we are going to get our mojo back.

Re: Richmond Vs Geelong discuss

100 point loss. Pencil it in.

I'm actually thinking closer to 200.
Not joking either. I reckon we can expect say 4-8 goals down there.
At best I think the cats are good for about 6 a quarter at worst 8-10.
About 32.17.209 to 5.11.41. 168 points is my guess.

Re: Richmond Vs Geelong discuss

End the negativity , time to move on its only a game.

End the negativity??
You're making stuff up,you say Geelong are soft what a load of rubbish.
End the fairy tale telling.

Calling Geelong soft is like calling Jack Riewoldt a poor set shot for goal, Brett Deledio a poor field kick, and Brad Miller a decent footballer. the excact opposite is true.

Ithink Richmond will show much more then they have in previous weeks, but I don't think they have the ability to match Geelong.

Geelong by between 6 and 10 goals, running away with it in the final term, I think the final margin will flatter Geelong.

Richmond right now look like they're at rock bottom, they need to start clawing back, and I think they'll start against the Cats.

no need to be worried Topper. Richmond are soft centred rubbish.....pure crap. We will fold like cards 10 minutes in.

If Geelong were still unbeaten I'd give us a chance to escape without a humiliation but your stutters mean you are more up for it and will slaughter the tickerless talentless rubbish we laughingly call our team.

Cats by 100 if interested, by 60 if just going through the motions against the Richmond easybeats.

Ruck Post and Vickery

Why drop Mcguane he was one of our better players yesterday

Re: Richmond Vs Geelong discuss

Ruck Post and Vickery

I hate to think what Ottens would do against those 2. Don't get me wrong, Vickery has proved his worth and Post deserves a decent chance (took a nice hanger on the wing for the burgers yesterday too), but ottens is bigger, stronger, heavier and better, and neither Post nor Vicks can match him. I'd give Browne one last chance to show what he did against Essendon the first time.

Geelong's backline has at least 3 guns any of which should be able to hold Jack on current form.
The other 2 can choose between Vicks, Miller (if he's in), Griff, whoever and should have no problems there.

The midfield has real depth and even if Cotch and Martin can shake Ling and Kelly, they still have Corey, Selwood, Bartel (Chapman if he feels like it) who all have the potential to run amok.

Interesting to see how Rance goes on Jpod and McGuane (uh oh) on Johnson?????

I can't see Richmond getting close. In our midfield and forward line Geelong's 3rd best player will easliy cover our best. Backline, the jury is still out but the fact that we leak more points against than any other team is a worry. Ling will try to shut Cotchin out of the game and if he succeeds we will lose by 100+.

Interesting that Jpod is their leading goalkicker for the season with just 29 and Stevie J 20, so even contribution to scoring means that Lids, Newy, Houli are actually going to have to be accountable.

Re: Richmond Vs Geelong discuss

Mods should make a temporary rule that posters who go on and on and on about it being a 100 plus point loss should get a weeks holiday if it doesnt happen.

Fair enough. I'll go along with that. If I'm wrong I will not post here for a week.

Re: Richmond Vs Geelong discuss

Cats have hit a flat spot at the moment.

Brisbane really taking it up to them and they have been dissapointing against Essendon and West Coast.

Dont think for a minute we can capitalise on that but we should be spared a flogging.

Re: Richmond Vs Geelong discuss

Dont care much about ins and outs as I really dont think it matters that much given our lack of depth.

Either Gus or Browne will get toweled up by Ottens so might as well bring in and play Post in the ruck and make him just jump around and look like he knows what he is doing:D

Against Geelong if we muck around going sideways backwards then 100 pts+ is on the cards. I have been getting fed up with our game plan over the last few months where a bloke takes a possie outside the defensive 50 then kicks back to FB who handpasses or short passes to the other back pocket all the while building more pressure on the bloke who now has the pill. Final qtr yesterday was a classic example where Houli had it at RHB kicked it 50 mts backwards to FB who then kicked it to a LHB one on one where Lids got beat and a couple of quick handpasses and the Suns hit the front and that was all she wrote. We did this again and again against bith the blues and dons for the same result. We arent a good enough skilled side to piss about with it like that. The oposition know as soon as we kick it back to run to that side with numbers and odds are a turn over will result.

Another thing is someone must start teaching the players to kick or handpass the pill to the bread basket or above NOT at the players boot laces where again our skill is exposed and we cough it up.

If we play like that against the Cats then we will get a hell of thumping. Time to go back to the basics and work for each other, get the running link up run through the middle of the ground and use our speed to our advantage. Play Vicks/Jack/Griff from the square and let them lead up to the runner. Sheesh it cant be that hard can it?

Re: Richmond Vs Geelong discuss

Glad Geelong didn't go down today, they would have been feral next week.

Put in some kids who will have a go and take the game on. No use playing short-sideways kicking games, don't have the skills. Head over the ball and fierce in the contest, all I ask of them.

Re: Richmond Vs Geelong discuss

^ Wouldn't mind being within 3 at 3/4 time. Also hope your scoreline is right at every change, just for hilarity :D

Call me biased if you like, but I'd much prefer our final score to be 21.15 :D.

We're expecting you blokes to come out with all guns blazing and really stick it to us. Your lads are going to do some seriously hard yards on the training track after their tropical adventures, and I expect that there'll be a few quiet words spoken in a few ears during the week concerning what time frame certain players have got to justify contracts in 2012.

We're not exactly setting the world on fire right now, so it'll be a good hard game, imo. And anything but a flogging.
