Yeah I think he'll come in, no better time really. Whether he's sub is another question, If he's there to help midfield rotations he's likely to get a full run. The bigger issue is what do we do with Jones, he's their only clearance player worth stopping, I think Jacko will stand him, though we have gone head to head and beaten better players. Now back on topic, we are in desperate need of a big inside mid, so with lonergan not selected this week, surely we have to see if Arnott is up to it???

Big shoes to fill, I'll be happy if he lays a few tackles and racks up double figures.Hopefully Arnott can immediately step up and fill the gaping hole that Tuck has left!

To add; We can't not play someone on the chance they'll get suspended, that's like not playing a forward on the chance they're not going to kick a goal. Deserves the chance at some point, this would be a good game for it.Despite what I said about Arnot I'd be happy to see him get a crack. I do expect that he'll push the boundaries of suspension which tbh won't affect us at this stage of his career but he will need to learn to reign himself in because I do believe he can be a very good footballer for us. But he'll be no use on the sidelines if he gets rubbed out all the time.
Can reporters stop saying Pettard will be back in a week. I hope he is back to the VFL in a week not our best 22.

Wrong decision to bring back Cotch...
Why risk him seriously. We beat a better performed side than Melb last week on thier home turf without Cotch.I mean if we can't beat this rabble without Cotch then we don't deserve to fight for a finals spot.Gotta disagree. He's clearly 100% and nothing below. If he was 99% I don't think the club would risk him. If he's ready to go there's just no point in him missing another game, and I doubt it's the type of injury that he can do further damage.

Re: cotchin's fitness
He was subject to a test during the week. Selection was pending in that result, and he passed. However, a hyperextended knee is smething you can play on, you just have pain and it swells up afterwards. Even if he's "right to go" it's only 3 weeks since it happened and 2 weeks since it last swelled up. We have a long season ahead and we need Cotchin to be pain-free, not carrying a niggle for another month because it keeps swelling up for the next couple of weeks.
The only reason he's playing is because Dimma wants a culture of players playing through the pain. He doesn't accept injury as an excuse.
With this in mind, I understand cotchin's selection. In isolation, it doesn't make sense to play him. But the overall culture-boosting effects of this kind of attitude are worth the small risk. The captain leads from the front and if anyone else is carrying a niggle (everyone has something) they will be absolutely clear of what is expected of them.
This is why we got a hard coach like Dimma after all.
