I didn't see the game but his stats look allright. Could have put himself in the mix also. Anyone see hthe full game?
Had a good half, then sorta pulled a magician.. wasn't huge in the second, got a few disposals.

Very early on was holding onto thew ball way too long trying to do it all himself...

Andy Otten: 8 kicks, 11 handballs, 5 marks, 5 contested, 74% efficiency.

Against a possible top 4 team that were playing with extreme pressure. Great composure for his 4th game.

wont get it though of course

If that is the next best option, then Rich should get the nomination again.

21 possessions vs Freo is like 10 possessions vs any other team, I'm sure they would take that into consideration.

 So on that consideration. Mitch Robinson was no chance last week cos he tore Richmond a new one. Rich's nomination last week should have been devalued because West Coast were a bottom 4 side. And a Geelong player should never get a nomination cos they are better than every team. Idiot

You know i'm starting to think that they should make the public vote on who gets the rising star nomination each week, like what they do with the Mark and the Goal of the year.
Many times, esp in the past few seasons the nominations are sort of like a chook raffle.

Nah, not with the disproportionate fanbases across various clubs. Not to mention how some clubs barely play any games on Free-to-air.

If Goal of the year was truly a fair process, Lloyd wouldnt have won 2 years ago.

Zaharakis for mine. special mentions to Beams and Rance though :)

Robinson will get his next time he has a big game like his debut IMO, and Darcy Daniher could be one to watch as well after this arvo's performance

Don't forget the "Mighty Quinn" & Hurley.

Fantastic..but 21 possessions is a heck of a lot more than White did. That is reality. You don't get nominations for "competing" and kicking a goal.

Too true bombersno1.

White However didn't just compete he damn well won his position and it was the Ruck position that won the game.

Got about as many hit outs playing out of positions as the entire opposition, many to advantage of our strategy and still got 12 possies, good for a young kp man playing an early game.

This is not an add for give White the nomination but for you and everyone else not to dismiss Stat Machine claims as unwarranted as Whites contribution to a win either with others did a LOT MORE, White was a real contributor to the win.

Ziebell was outstanding today. Dunno how many touches he had and don't much care. Very special footballer.

Surely Masten would have to be up there\

23 disposals, 5 marks, 3 tackles, 1 goal, 5 I50, 4 R50

He is going to be a player of some note!!!!

you're still playing against 22 men..the same every week..
for a kid who has just turned 19 playing against men who are 7,8,9 years older than him and 10,15,20kgs heavier, the game he had today was amazing..poise, accuracy, skill, pace he had it all today. Should get Round 2 nomination. only person i can see taking it off him are Masten, Robinson or Beams
