Cant see cas playing forward since we already have mckay, jsos and tdk or pitto resting forward.

Maybe Cas will take McLean, Jones or weiters on franklin with the other playing an intercept role on a smaller player like when Melbourne had Lever on Owies. We are hoping to dominate the air.

Not a terrible idea on a smallish ground. I just hope Levi has made significant gains in the mobility/fitness department in his time off, otherwise we are ****ed.

I’d hope so. Allows Weitering to play on Heeney which Parks may not be ready for. That’s the only logical solution.

Yeah though playing as a defender typically don't have to move as much as a forward.

He also won't be required to ruck at all so he should be fine.

A good match up for McLean physically actually whos a big boy but not that quick. Im sure we all remember Cas was surprisingly excellent as a full back a few years ago when he covered for Jones.

Stick jones on franklin and have weitering on a lesser forward, looking to double team franklin at every opportunity.

No doubt he prefers that. But to me JSOS plays the same role as Gov (in fact would be my preference of the 2), so with Harry and resting ruckman that is the 3, surrounded by smalls in Eddie, Owies and Martin/Fog. Surely this selection only works if one of Harry/TDK/Levi is on the bench at any given time.

But this is the first time in a LONG time we have omitted a big name. It's something that I think has been a major issue for a long time at Carlton.

Levi is not a natural ruck, in previous years he's been doing a great job.
Played injured most of the year because we had NO back up ruck options.
If this rest has fixed his issues then he's fine coming back in. Plowman for Levi and Martin for Murphy does not massively change our heights like some are complaining about.
