I don't think the annoyance has anything to do with Hardie. The balance of the team looks off with so few midfielders and so many tall forwards
Certainly a lot more tonight not happy with selection and not a whole lot placing that solely on Hardie missing.
No Mannagh, no midfielder in. 3 tall forwards and 2 medium forwards.

Rohan and O'Connor don't move the needle as ins.
Just an awful team selected.

Thank the lord that there was no Bolton or Prestia for the Tigers. Shai and Dusty against this midfield certainly wouldn't have been pretty.

Hardie not even an emergency.

Well kudos to match committee for backing in experienced players. I hope they know what they’re doing.

Duncan named as one of the followers ……..can’t see that happening.

Hearing Stewart will spend more time midfield to find some touch and break the heavy tag. That might have cooked Hardies chances?

Why the heck didn’t they put him in the middle last week?

Wow, I've never seen anyone rejoice so much in the misfortune of a footballer who is doing everything he can to get a game of AFL football. Gloating at his expense "Maybe, just maybe, he's not actually that crash hot?"
I hope you are proud of yourself.
If you think that quote there is gloating at his expense I genuinely fear for your well being when you actually discover the rest of the internet

They havent sold standing room tickets for this game at all according to the people i spoke to at the club yesterday and today. Did you claim a GA entry via your membership on the app? If so that might have been revoked, as that was what happened to myself and a few mates earlier this week that started this shambles. They changed the designation to fully ticketed and revoked all the GA tickets that were claimed on the app, now you have to upgrade to a seat via ticketmaster. Standing room only became available to claim today via the app.
Bought through Ticketmaster weeks ago haven’t heard anything else.

Personally I think the best thing that Mitch Hardie can do for his career is try track down Josh Cowans phone number

This is the closest I come to social media, trolling, etc. I meant what I said, and it wasn't directed at you. However I appreciate your concern for my mental health. 😃

Am I the only one that gets the feeling that if we went searching threads from a few years ago - 19,20, 21 and had a look at comments after team selection announcements, that we'd be reading very very similar comments about a then young Constable that we're currently reading about Hardie?

I'd be surprised if he didn't get a game as some stage before the end of the season, but just maybe the complete lack of noise about him from the club is an indication that there's something about his game which is currently holding him back from senior selection

And in response to that, I'd hope there's clear communication from the coaches about what he's doing well, areas that stand at the level they'd want and steps to help with that improvement etc
Good heavens you are making sense. How come you are on here?

How many Cats posters have put a cheeky side bet on Richmond with these selections and those juicy odds? Be honest
IMG_4555.jpeg

The shortest odds on the spread are Cats 60+. I’ll happily take anyone’s money betting on Richmond.

O’Connor and Rohan are the most logical ins.

But Richmond are barely better than north. So if we’re ever going to try someone new, after the first time losing 4 in a row in 18 years, it surely would be this week.

So, logical perhaps, but boring definitely.
We badly need a win. Not the time for stuffing around.

You just know as well, we'll ski over Richmond on Saturday and next Thursday a fit Dangerfield will be held back for after the bye and Blicavs and Clark will replace two players and that will be that for the Swans in Sydney. Recipe for a 10 goal belting in the harbour city.

MC not taking our midfield issues serious enough. MOC in and Parfitt first emergency..... Yeah that's a winning strategy. :drunk:

I agree with the sentiment re Hardie.
I do not agree with the constant potting of our fellow Cats/Bigfooty posters here. FFS we are all on the same team.
We can agree to disagree, it's not the end of the world.
That is life, or at least it used to be.
Suck it up people and show some humanity and respect.
We are all on the same page.

So doing the same again, but hoping for a different result.

Ok then.
Are we playing a side with the midfield juice of the Dee's, Power, Suns or Giants?

Because if not then you are comparing apples and pineapples

Agree we should be respectful to each other but we should also show some respect for the players.

Performances equivalent to 3 of those last 4 weeks would result in a very comfortable win here.

I am happy O’Connor is back, he played some good stuff early in the season.

Would have liked Mannagh in.

Yeah, I would've liked to see Mannagh in.....really don't know what he did wrong.

I hope we win this weekend....just don't have any particular confidence about it.
