Game day:

Looking forward to a massive game from Sam Walsh. He'd be annoyed he had to miss last weeks game. He's such a gun, wants to play every game and run his guts out! Love to see him play a blinder tonight and the boys get the"W".
Go Blues!!💙💙

Cheers ..thank me later..
Vossy better be careful..
Also with no Bailey Williams I expect Dale may have to take on a slightly different assignment and play a bit taller, so the SOS match-up may well be it. Jeez if De Koning can sit on a few heads early the Dogs will be scrambling, not many tall match-ups for them back there.

Would be brilliant if we did start 2-0, with Hawks, Gold Coast, Port, Freo, Gold Coast, North, Crows to come. Even starting at 1-1, you would be super confident of a great start to the first 8 rounds. Games aren’t won on paper but if we are a serious side, we need to be winning more of those games than we lose.

I'm wary of a wounded Bont tonight. They'll probably play him forward a lot imo and he just has an uncanny ability to impact when down there, often making something out of nothing, drawing a free here and there etc. Not sure we've got a good match-up for him either.

Keep Naughton and Bont reasonably in check and we're halfway there imo.

Michael Voss has only been at our club for only a few months but I can say already that he is the most universally loved head coach we’ve had since David Parkin by the supporters. It says a lot about the man’s character.

Bont seems to always be under an injury cloud, don't trust the guy at all. Be very cautious.

Excited for tonight. Massive game for the club.

It’s only round 2 but this is such a great opportunity for this group to make a real statement.

Last week was a big step in the right direction. Tonight would be even bigger.

We generally match up pretty well against the Dogs. Midfield battle is the key as previously said, but Weitering on Naughton is also a huge matchup. Relying on JUH and smalls to kick a winning score is not ideal.

Not expecting a win. But we’re right in this.

We need to start beating teams in contention before we start talking about being a serious side.

At this stage, its the Dogs, Port, Cats, Lions, Demons and Swans.

Tonight will be a test.

Carlton of old would hype themselves up and then lose and say it's a wake up call...

Anyone know where General Admission is tonight? The marvel stadium website doesn’t say anything

So was Ratts then Bolts then Teague…I think it’s safe to say win games = loved, lose games = pilloried

Calling it now. Chaz Curnow to re-find his confidence tonight and will take at least one hanger.

Perfect situation for him here, playing 2nd fiddle to McKay so will be getting the 2nd tall defender in an already short and KP limited defence and already has a great record vs the Dogs.

That is the industry they work in in. Wins and losses are the only results that matter. They're paid for wins. Fans watch for wins. Members pay for wins.

If you don't win people will want you out.

It's not an unfair proposition.

Have my reservations about Fogarty/O’Brien/Newman but prepared to back in Voss and co these days.
With Martin/Cerra/Stocker possibly all available next week, the pressure to perform is there.
Then there’s Kemp/Motlop/Carroll …

I agree would be better to have Cerra and Stocker in for LOB and Newman but I do want LOB to have a fair shot for a couple of weeks.

But now that Martin is out I am kinda glad we have Fogarty instead because I do think we need to blanket Daniel and I don’t think Martin is as effective at that as Fogarty is.

Sometimes players have to sacrifice their own game and last week it was Zac Williams to shut down Dusty and this week it’s probably Fogarty shutting down Daniel and possibly Hewett shutting down Macrae or Treloar or Libba depending on what we are trying to do.

Agree with many that this is a HUGE opportunity tonight. We match up well against them and now have the midfield to match theirs.

To win against the Tigers with Harry, Charlie and Weiters having quiet nights gets me tickled downstairs.

Carn the baggers.

EDIT: WALSH IS BACK (**** yeah) he will be :fire::fire::fire:

Durdin is the one guy in the team that will be able to tackle Daniel around the waist
