If you look at his disposal it's unacceptable as a senior player. Including hospital handpasses. Not to mention his complete lack of defensive pressure.

Everyone rushes to defend Murphy but slams players like Plowman, Newnes and others.

It's a joke. NOT ONE PLAYER IS BIGGER THAN THE CLUB.

If you think people on this board regularly defend Murph, you don’t do much reading.

He’s constantly chastised and berated, and even blamed for a whole decade of poor performances on a few occasions.

Murph was actually emblematic of the team today. Very strong early helping us build the lead. Then seemed to lose a bit of physicality and touch as the game went on.

I’ll still back him every day of the week. Absolutely deserves to be the 5th blue in the 300 club for mine and despite being so “horrific” for us today was still our leading possession getter with 10 contested and going at 70%.

If murph is our worst we’re comfortably among the best in the comp

My issue with Cripps is that he’s lost too much weight, trying to b a runner rather than an in & under player which was his his strength. He’s know getting pushed off the ball when, that wouldn’t have happened 12 mths ago.

To add apart from one who has taken long service leave specifically to help out in the hubs that most of them are working their regular jobs full time remotely within the hubs.

Callum Moore played what I'm sure is the worst game ive ever seen in Navy Blue, and I'm 30 years old.
We were -1 from the start, and -2 quickly with Gov. Our forward structure was an abomination but twice this year we've seen the importance of what Harry McKay means to the way we play. Hopefully he's back next week.
What is Teague's aversion to playing Cripps in the forward line to break a tag? Seems to always take too long to make this decision, if its made at all
Positively Setterfield and Kennedy played great games and aree really stamping their claims.
Happy to get the W, but there's a lot of lessons to learn for the group today. Probably the worst we've played for the year.

Part of it is Cripps feels hes conceded if he gives up too early. IMO

Also when Cripps is in it can allow others free run at the ball given theres so much attention on him.

I wish theyd stamp out all the holding that goes on before he touches the ball.

We really need to start throwing our arms up in the air at every decision because the yellow maggots just hand out frees like lollies if you whinge Norf are the new Geelong whinging for a free every time there's a contest and get rewarded.
We played bad footy but jesus the umpiring department attributed at least 5 goals to Norf so we should have run out comfortable winners.

He is adding layers and it takes time.

it’s that sort of media attention that should see him get some more free kicks for it, It’s blatant cheating the way we are treated by the umpiring fraternity and Cripps Cops it the most.

Absolutely love the development in Setterfield and Kennedy. Both have improved out of sight.

Setterfield is becoming a lot more active in games, but the thing that stands out is his composure. This is what he showed in his draft year.

Kennedy has always been a natural footballer, but needed to improve his running capacity. He's done that and the results are obvious for everyone to see.

On the team, I felt our defense was exposed on a number of occasions today. Need to tidy this up. I also don't see SPS as a half back. If he's not providing genuine run and carry, what's the point. Put him in the middle.

The last bloke on our list is 45th. Moore was bought in as the 23rd best fittest player on our list in theory, although it was really as the next best tall ... again in theory.

My comment was actually in relation to us having the second worst frees for/against differential in the comp, not our playing list.

Few observations.
Martin..once again fluffed an easy shot when pressure really on..like v melb and last week. Needs to be better..alot better

Wtf plowman and setters...Why did it take Bolts then Teague so long to realise plow must be the start of the defence and not the end..
And so long to realise we got setters to play inside mid and not a wing
All coaches even greats dont get everything right..but seriously how did it takes weeks and weeks to figure out
