Not too bad a list really. There's a few who I'd move up or down by 10 or so places. The one that stands out as most out of place is actually Buddy at 11.

I find it hard to believe at his age and coming off another bad preseason that he'll be the 2nd best key forward and KPP in the league.

Cameron has to be above Buddy, maybe Darling as well, and then Hawkins, Brown, Kennedy, Riewoldt are more likely to stay fit and kick 40+ than Bud is these days.

McGovern, Grimes, Harris Andrews and Sicily should be too.

Any list that doesn’t have dusty as number 1 isn’t worth reading.
Wouldn’t have Bontempelli in top 5 let alone number 1. Toby Greene is top 5 and Coniglio top ten.
And who TF is Rowan Marshall and when the hell did he become the 26th best player in the AFL???

Which mid to tall rebounding defenders go ahead of him other than Gov?

Or do you like 25 mids, 10 forwards, then the defenders get a crack.

Gov would be the only one of his type in my top 30 (and he should be much higher). I look at a guy like Greene and say I’d pick Toby Greene every time. That’s not to say Sicily doesn’t deserve his spot on the list but 22 is a fraction high personally.

It would've just been quicker for you to say "I'm a nuffy"

Psst it's a predictive list, can you cope with a prediction that says Dusty will be the second best player in the AFL this year?

Since you are one of the few Tiger fans I don't have on ignore I will answer your last question:

Marshall is a young ruckman from St Kilda who caught a lot of people's eyes in the latter half of last season, including one game against Geelong where he pretty much single handedly matched our team for a half. It's a big call but not unreasonable to predict he will really make a name for himself this year. Proper big ruckman who can also mark, kick goals and has good football instincts.

Bont is a gun, could easily dominate this year and end as the best player.

Haynes, Hurn and Moore match him in that sense, Stewart a lightly worse kick but a better defender. Sicily really isn’t that unique.

Sicily is a better intercept mark than Hurn and a much better kick than the other three and close to the equal of Hurn.

I actually doubt you have seen the guy play. Get back to me when you do.

I rank Gov ahead of Sicily. No other defender are near these 2.

Gov is a better defender and one of the great intercept marks the game has seen.

But Sicily can hit a 50 metre pass better than most in the sport.

Gov is the best backman in the AFL and I am not disputing that but Sicily can kick the lights out and starts many of Hawthorn’s attacks with his aggressive kicking over distance, which is something Gov doesn’t do.

McGovern is an excellent field kick. Check out the bullet down the corridor at 10 seconds that hits Vardy lace-out in the middle of four Collingwood players.

He is not a better field kick than Sicily but I don’t dispute he is a better player.

Gov is a genius.

Stats say that isn’t much difference between hurn and Sicily in terms of intercept marks.

The comparison with Sicily aside, McGovern's field kicking shouldn't be undersold.

I’m not underselling it. I have repeatedly stated he’s the best defender in the game.

Coming second to Sicily as a field kick is hardly a crime.

McGovern is my favourite non-Hawk and has been for ages.

You seem offended that Robbo (and plenty of others) can see Sicily for the star that he is.

I suppose that is your problem.
