Good list, but:
  • you have Cockshell twice
  • Alex Stopp is from SA, not Victoria
  • From Norwood, the biggest chances are Stopp (who you already have), Ben Speight (who played league SANFL towards the end of '08 and made the fringes of some phantom drafts) and Josh Donohue (massively overage, like 20yo, but a goalsneak, who's about 50 pounds wringing wet, with great instincts and pace who took a massive leap forward in '08). Matt Davis is technically eligible but (unless you know something I don't) no great chance. Unless you're talking about a different Matt Davis to the ex-Sydney Swan now at Norwood.

Other SANFL team followers should be able to name at least 2 or 3 rookie chances from their side.

Tapscott isnt eligible i dont think.

Daniel Stewart - North Adelaide
Daniel Webb - West Adelaide
Wade Thompson - North Adelaide
Rhys Clinton - Port Adelaide

From Sturt - (Charlie Sharples) Patrick Fittock, Josh Cubillo, Nick Wark

Wark made the SANFL state team. Also Cubillo, Fittock & Wark played in all of Sturt senior finals campaign in which all 3 had good finals series.

All 3 would make good projects for any club wanting to develop players who have played senior footy and showed that they can play at a higher standard. :thumbsu:

Is there any particular reason that a bottom ager, Keiran King, can be drafted but can't be rookied?
I know they have to be 18, but what is the reasoning behind this?
Bottom agers born between January and April could get drafted in the ND. I think the main reasoning behind this is that they have to be given a minimum two year deal. For kids that age it can interrupt their studies, so they need that guarantee to potentially uproot their lives.

This will all become irrelevant next year because the draft age is lifted by four months, so there'll be no bottom aged/top aged split.

What about Luke Tapscott? Did he get drafted?
He was too young for the ND, so definitely too young for the Rookie.
