Its pretty dire if you have to hold onto Rory Lobb for dear life

I bet his girlfriend at the time had no problems when he signed that massively front loaded and high paying contract.

His girlfriend will just have to be patient for another year.

probably not seeing as she wouldn't have met him if he didn't move to WA and sign with Freo

Put aside the fact he’s kicked 56 goals in last 2 seasons aside, which is reasonable.

When a game is on the edge we throw Lobb on the defensive side of the wing at bounce downs..you can check the tapes but in close games he will always be an extra in defence saving games. He has great reach and hands. We don’t do this with Tabs or any other fwd. Lobb is well rounded enough to be a defensive weapon at clutch moments.

I will disagree with the pea heart sentiments. Check the last 20 seconds Fremantle v Sydney 2019. He saves the game by running 40m to hit a contest with one busted arm which took him out of the season eventually. Outrunning someone with one arm not moving and then committing to a contest shows guts.

Bulldogs first for Lobb and a 3rd going back to them.

We will pay overs for Jackson, on the flip side need overs for Lobb. If Lobb is traded it will be overs.

With Saints and Bombers missing out on the prized free agent, watch for them to come late.

By insisting that he asks Freo to release him from his contract so that he can join her in Melbourne because she has a job there.
That is over controlling? Please...

You have no idea how they came to that decision and it is pretty ridiculous to call her controlling.

Not sure why all that was brought up. The facts are who ever picks Lobb up this year will pay overs as he’s contracted and very much required. That is how it works.

Overs is a very subjective term though, to settle on what overs is you first need to figure out what his value is.

Personally and i know Freo fans will disagree but i would never give up a first for Lobb, i just do not rate him highly enough to part with one. Now the Dogs are still in the hunt for a flag i think despite a down year so i can see a world where they will be more willing to part with one.

It also depends largely on what happens with Jackson and Meek

If you land Jackson and hold meek you may be more willing to let Lobb go but that remains to be seen.

If there is no 1st going in it may be a couple of 2nds and Sweet to help offset the loss of Meek.

This years draft is awful. So 29, F2 and Sweet would get it done. Still need overs for a contracted Lobb and that would get it done.

Jackson replaces Lobb

Sweet replaces Meek

I don't think he's worth a first to us. Will be interesting to see how it pans out. We've ****ed our last 2 draft hands with the Darcy/UgleHagan picks. Couldn't really see us giving up a first for a guy with limited time left that isn't that good and doesn't fit needs.
