Bruest, Ginnivan, Jai brilliant. Also strong starts by Worpel and Nash but the rest look very rusty. Our goal kicking was a bloody let down but we did well overall to keep with them.

Good signs the amount of set shots we’re setting up inside 50.

All in all not a bad result to be 7 points down kicking 2.7!
When you have a vulnerable spine it doesn't help when your two best players at either end have been pathetic.

Overall pretty happy with that. Last 7 or so minutes of the quarter we forced a lot of mistakes on Essendon. Our forward line is open and taking lots of marks. Chol, Ginni, Gunston and dAmbrosio all getting busy in different ways.

Just want to see McKenzie tighten up. Is not playing with confidence. CMac has also been similar - plenty of the footy but not damaging yet.

We look good when we get the ball up until it’s time to put it through the big sticks.

Our defensive work and stopping them from transitioning the ball has been poor. We need to lock the ball in our forward half if we can’t win it.
