Given the talk of Schneider (this week or next), is there room for him?
Certainly is. Cripps has been getting just 8-10 possies and maybe a goal or two each week, whereas Schneiderman usually gets those sort of stats on a very poor day, so he could easily take his spot.

Cripps is very quick and I like that he takes the game on with his speed, and he does a few nice things, but Adam would be likely to get at least double the possies Cripps has been getting (if he played the full game) and he also uses it better and also kicks goals, so I would prefer to see him in. He could also be eased into it as the "sub", rather than not play at all this week (as we have no VFL this week).

The other thing is that previously Schneider would have gotten the "4th best defender" but with Saad and Milera there as well now, he could even get the 6th best and he could do some real damage with that being the case.

Reckon will be late change with Clarke coming in for someone to be rested.

Polo into play Gears role, and Watters hasnt had late change for little while and must be itching to do so, so reckon this week :p

Fisher ruled out

SAM Fisher's absence from the St Kilda defence could stretch for another fortnight.
The Saints yesterday confirmed that scans on his hamstring on Monday revealed he needed more time to recover.
Fisher has been missing since suffering what appeared to be a routine hamstring strain in Round 6 against Hawthorn.
St Kilda football manager Greg Hutchison denied Fisher had succumbed to a recurrence, but said: "He is another week or so away. We just re-scanned it as a normal precaution."
The scan ruled Fisher out of tomorrow night's blockbuster against Richmond and he appears certain to miss the Round 11 clash with Gold Coast at Metricon Stadium.
His return will most likely be against Adelaide at AAMI Stadium in Round 12.
"He's just going to be assessed on a weekly basis. We were optimistic he was going to be right for the Carlton game, but it never got to that stage," Hutchison said.

Apparently there are only 7000 seats left for tomorrow nights game against Richmond.

Who could not love Lenny and the way he plays.
Heres a hyperthetical.
I would love to see Lenny try and lay a tackle like that on himself selling some candy.
I wonder if he could pull it off.

For the game it is shaping up to be massive.
I hope both teams bring it and if so it will be a classic and down to the wire.

The keys for the Tigers i think is Morris to Milne as he always seems to tear us a new one.
Morris is a competative beast and quick, i liken him to the old computer game PONG.
He is the bat that just runs up and back reppelling attacks and always makes the contest when you think he won't make it.
Milne will feel his presence every move.

We also need our forward line to function, especially the smaller forwards in King and Nahas.

This could be one for the ages.
Good luck.
Go Tigers

Why is Newnes higher in the pecking order than Ledger?

I guess it must be to do with Newnes playing a different type of role to Ledger, a similar one to Geary perhaps, but I would have Ledger in front of him at the moment in terms of being able to make an impact at AFL level.

Must be frustrating for Ledger to see most of our other youngsters get AFL games so far this year while he keeps getting overlooked. Maybe they will give him a run next week against Gold Coast if they decide to rest some players.

Why is Newnes higher in the pecking order than Ledger?

I wouldn’t say that Newnes is higher in the pecking order than Leg, is more do to with the position each play.

Newnes this year has been playing as a defender picking up the second/third best small forward, and running off the half back line.
He (in my mind) is a more suitable replacement for Geary than Ledger, who is a midfield terrier.

If somebody falls in the midfield (ie Armo, Steven, Lenny ect ect) I’d expect Ledger to be in.

EDIT: Plugger35 is spot on about Newnes and Ledger...

Yeah I think I would prefer Raph Clarke to replace Geary than Polo or Newnes. Even though he might make the odd clanger Raph could help to give us some good run off half back which will be handy with Fisher out, Gilbert struggling for form and Gwilt still not back to his best yet.

Even more astounding is to have this many opposition supporters on our board and not have any trouble.

Well done everyone. :thumbsu:

Like you very impressed with Richmond supporters on here Excellent to read your thoughts

It will be a great match that if we bring four quarters of intensity will win on the day
