Why are we called 'Hawtorn' in the thread title? Am I missing something or is it simply an unfortunate typo?

I think we'll need to turn this into a slow rugby scrum in order to win. While I think this team has the potential for elite games, we're a ways off on skills and decision making, particularly defensive decisions.

So I'll be interested to see if we can clog up the midfield long enough to keep it close at the end and have a chance of victory. I was so disappointed when port beat us at ethihad two or three years ago. Doubly so because a port supporter bet $10 at the pub at 10:1 odds and we gave her hell for throwing away her money when she was standing at the TAB machine. Maybe tonight will see some revenge.

That was the game just after Rattens son died. Understandably the players and the club were grieving. That was 2 years ago.

Although we beat Port convincingly in Adelaide last year.

Tonight I reckon we'll either get beaten by around 10 goals or just scrape through by a few points. . All depends which Hawthorn turns up tonight.

I'm just happy Wingard isn't playing because he ALWAYS turns it on against us. Either way, I think they're too strong around the midfield and run out games a hell of a lot better - Gray will kick a bag, port will do away with us easy.

Speaking of dream plays - the winning play last week involved an awesome mix of old and new.

From memory it was hardwick-> hodge -> mitchell -> Vickery -> Roughead

Hardwick is totally the real deal. Great find for 2017

Expecting us to lose by a decent margin, but then I felt the same last week too...Glad to see the new kids getting more games and hopefully a 4 quarter effort is there tonight.
