Holmes is the only out this week that plays predominantly in the midfield

Knevitt has been playing more in the forward line then the midfield, same as Simpson

With the inclusion of Mullin, it likely indicates O'Connor into the guts which is a better move at the moment than Knevitt in there
Knevitt has been on the wing when I’ve seen him but, yes, not midfield. He may have been in for a couple of centre bounces. Agree O’Connor into mids is a logical move

No Rohan...

(sigh)

Genuinely shaped to be the most important inclusion for this week. I get you don't risk him if he's not right. But the way teams are waltzing the ball out of our front half at the moment is deeply concerning.
There was a passage of play in his last game against Ess before he went off - they briefly switched him to FF - instantly took an o/head mark in front of his opponent -and goaled

And the reason he took it - is that Rohan has got that turn of foot - that alot of players havent got

As you know you can get dissappointed if Geel players ( who you want back in ) are listed during the week - as in the mix - because you can allways add a week or 2 to that

Take a deep breath grasshopper.

Knevitt and Simpson both need a rest. Mullin will surprise - and I’ll assume at this stage you’ve done zero research.

Sport science team at the club say they’ve never seen an athlete like him walk through the doors. Tuohy refers to him as the equivalent (in Gaelic) to Nick Daicos and says no one at the club gets near him in most of the testing.

Have some faith. Do you honestly think they’d pick him just to take the urine?

Can I ask what testing? Are you talking speed, agility?

It isn’t about Mullin being “ready” or not. Two things:

1. The cupboard is bare. Heaps of games are going to players who would be undeserving if we had a fit list.

2. The club would be looking ahead to post bye and seeing that there won’t be another chance to get a game or two into Mullin so now is the best chance to do so this season.
PLUS, he just may be ok this week and subsequent weeks.
The club knows our players and their readiness much ahead of fans like us

Thats interesting, didn't know all that.

If the lad can work out how the game is played then could be a serious weapon.

I'm not sure why they haven't tried Miers in the middle

He might get a go in there. Technically you could say only 4 centre square mids in Atkins, Blicavs, Bruhn & Parfitt. Then 3 out of those 4 would have played more minutes elsewhere at AFL level. Sort of game you'd think Simpson would have got a run through there.

Club has lost the plot!! You have no midfielders left and you drop Knevitt who has been ok and rest Simpson, then you bring in an Irishman who is so far off AFL level its not funny, taking the piss
Have faith- one of the most highly rated and gifted Irishmen ever to come over- can't think of a better time for him to takeover at HBF
