Coaching philosophies a bit different for this one…… I’m a bit disappointed by GWS thus far TBH. Let’s see if laissez faire Scott can actually wake up Saturday arvo…

Laissez faire......you mean the coach commonly acknowledged as one of the hardest to coach against?

yeah, righto.

Doesn't spill his guts, panic, meltdown, insult or leave after a one point loss.
Keeps his head, or rather his hair, while all about are losing theirs and throwing ignorant bombs.
Sound familiar?

It astounds me the differing views on him. It's like opposition supporters get different press conferences than we do.

Opposition supporters call him a serial whinger, never shuts up etc.

While we on here complain that he never answers the question, and plays his cards too close to his chest, speaks in riddles etc.

Either way, he's a champion coach and we're lucky to have him.

There are only two coaches over the last decade you could argue have been better than Chris Scott, and they are both currently on leave and/or being accused of horrific acts.

In the words of the man himself, it would be remiss of me to not agknowledge how influential he has been for our club.

Except we won't see Stanley for another 4 weeks, and Ceglar is struggling. Meantime Blitz is tiring under the extra load, and therefore needs more help.
Ceglar was beaten on the weekend but many rucks have been destroyed by Darcy to a far greater degree. He practically squared his duel with O'Brien overall, beat Richmond and had a standard loss to Witts. We'll undoubtedly improve with Stanley back, but players who lost their position/role to a greater degree (or relative to expectation, therefore hurting us more):

Close, Atkins, Holmes, Zuthrie, Kolo, Stewart, Tuohy, Cameron, Parfitt

I won't include youngsters.

Ceglar is a classic whipping boy target but in actuality it's been a giant chunk of our '22 best team that have been below par the past two weeks. I expect most of them will bounce back as they did rounds 4-8.

That is the understatement of the Century !!!!!

Dangerfields 1st qtr against Essendon - and i have watched it about 5 times ( and he did the same the previous year to Ess ) when the Cats led 38 to 0 - and it was all because of his outstanding/exhilarating play - in my opinion that was as exciting to watch as the 3rd quarter of last years GF - thats how good it was
Yeah he is a colossus when in that form, even in 2023. And seems to make those deputies stand taller too. The whole group fell apart even more than I was willing to estimate when he went down. Well they battled really well vs Adelaide in that second half and were also decent first half vs Richmond minus terrible disposals...but the last 6 quarters have been ugly. His long, probing and surprisingly accurate kicks from burst stoppages are a vital component of our game.

Gee you talk some rubbish.
If you say…. It’s just an opinion that’s different from other opinions…. Scott is enjoying an ‘out’ year… good on him! Cats have been favorites in every game this year and lost 5 of them! If he gets no heat then good luck to him….

There's a moldy old thread somewhere on Chris Scott, why not go over there and argue with yourself?

Why would he get heat? He's coming off a flag with the oldest team in history repeatedly written off by all and sundry. He's also currently had to deal with a massive injury list where he's missing his two best midfielders, his best ruckman, his best KPD as well as a number of other quality best-22 footballers.

He'd be up with McRae for the coach under the least amount of pressure. Laughable to suggest he should be under scrutiny.

Despite a few injuries they’ve been hot favourite to win every game but lost half of them. I agree he is under no pressure … great gig!

Missing close to half a team through injuries is more than "a few injuries"

Yeah laissez faire style approach. What’s wrong with that? Why you take it so negatively because I said Scott has a laissez faire approach to management and is different from Kingsley? What’s wrong with that?

Paddy and the rest are debatable…
SDK, Duncan okay then that’s three…
Can’t have both of Rohan & O.Henry in the team… C. Guthrie’s from early was VFL level. Stanley has been widely criticised by his own fan base… as has Rohan.. half the team injured means we play with 35? Just a few injuries to top 22 team actually…

Hop to 2023 son! That’s where it’s at! Dimma quit because there’s no more cup coming out there and look at coach for life Simpson. Still gets a gig because of 2018…

I'm fully aware it's 2023, so your condescension is wasted on me.

As is your motivation to troll for bites.
