Paddy and the rest are debatable…
SDK, Duncan okay then that’s three…
Can’t have both of Rohan & O.Henry in the team… C. Guthrie’s from early was VFL level. Stanley has been widely criticised by his own fan base… as has Rohan.. half the team injured means we play with 35? Just a few injuries to top 22 team actually…
You're literally outing yourself as a Richmond supporter right now. This is their exact argument they always use.

You never say anything positive about the club, always criticize everyone and everything...and then go silent when we're successful. You are not a supporter, you are toxic to this board. You're one of the reasons I don't post anymore, but I can't let this line of discussion go unchallenged.

SDK, Danger, Rohan, C. Guthrie, Stanley, Duncan, all Premiership players. O. Henry, Holmes and Bowes, all Best 22 this year. That's 9 players missing + Menegola, S. Neale and J. Clark who were looking to push into the side, after missing a ton of players early in the year as well. It's no coincidence that we started winning games when our injury list was smaller.

You give this injury list to anyone, and they will be uncompetitive. Swans are less worse off than us, and are currently 12th and nearly lost to North on the weekend. West Coast are the worst in the comp, and they are dead last with a percentage of 55%. We are still inside the 8 in 7th position on 120% percentage, with 12 injuries to 30 of our AFL level players. That's 40% of our players. But sure, it's nothing.

Seriously, give it a rest and get a hobby. This is pathetic how much you slam one of the greatest coaches in the modern era, how much you underrate the players, and how much you gloss over our Premiership from just last year - and never have a positive thing to say about any aspect of our club.

You are not a supporter. Nothing about you embodies the word 'supporter.' Seriously, it's just sad how much you hate our club...when the last 16 years have delivered the most success out of any club in the AFL era. Other clubs would kill for this. But it's never enough for those who revel in misery and critique. So keep going with this line of thinking, because at this stage, your opinion is worth less than a Shocking, behindgate, standrule, Richmond conspiracy nut.

Enjoy your delusions, and don't bother replying because you're ignored.

See ya :)

Didn’t know about Holmes but look at Port & Bombers on weekend with their missing mids & forwards respectively… get it done cats! No excuses!

We've got / had something like 10 premiership players missing.

That's significantly more quality than others are missing.

It's near 50% of our starting side.

There ARE reasons we're losing. It's NOT because of a laissez faire attitude.

Can ignore twice? You said that before…. Oh dear! And I post win , lose or draw… and very positive posts just different from others….

Here's a tip...... your interpretation of 'very positive' differs markedly to virtually every other poster on this board.

I'm genuinely intrigued as to some posts on here that range from - "Ceglar played well" to "Ceglar has to play". Are people seriously just looking at centre bounces and then switching off as if he's not out there? Ceglar will most likely get rested this week anyway - can't back up after consecutive games which includes a road trip to Perth, and he'll be needed against Tim English the week after when we play the Dogs.

There is zero connection between him and our midfielders. And it's our biggest problem right now.

We won the hitouts and clearances Vs Richmond but to me it looked like we got beaten up around the ground and at most 50/50 contests.
We got smashed in hitouts and clearances Vs Fremantle and got badly beaten up around the ground in the majority of contests

So I pose this question people - is there a bigger problem we need to fix right now aside from getting a few players back? I wouldn't have thought so.

Ceglar is trying his guts out but he's creating a major liability for us around the ground ...... I've watched him closely both weeks and he just gets left for dead at most stoppages and can't run or compete once the ball is bounced or thrown up. It's an easy decision to rest him this week based on GWS set up, and he'll play against Tim English primarily because both Esava and SDK will be needed down back on the Dogs talls like Jamara / Naughton and Lobbe.

I maintained at the time Stanley was injured that our midfield would be exposed - having Dangerfield and Guthrie out has not helped obviously. But our midfield lacks any cohesion and we got smashed on Saturday by Brayshaw and Serong who are both smaller bodied mids.

Anyone at the games live, just take some time to watch Ceglar trying to get from contest to contest and see what he adds around the ground ....... it's creating major problems for us.

I'd play Dempsey on a wing and O'Connor in the middle. Times are desperate. Danger back, I hope Rohan comes in because his absence has really hurt the forward line structure.

Never said we were losing because of that…. It’s not injuries either or shorter pre season, heavy training loads or queue in the rack theory either.

Not good enough in 23…. Other teams are better. 22 cup gives them an out… Doesn’t matter how many we lose this year because it’s okay. We won in 22 and everyone is satisfied!

So the severe dilution in the collective quality of the players we have available, due to the injuries we've suffered, has no correlation to the fact that we're 'not good enough '?

The fact we're unable to field our Best 22 has no correlation to the fact other teams are now 'better'?

Your last two sentences are just rubbish. No-one has said that.

It is becoming increasingly clear that you obviously have never played sport, or exerted yourself athletically.

Playing injured or coming back from injury is harder than you think. It makes the common man a shell of himself, imagine what it does when you're competing with elite athletes.

Everyone here says that … if we don’t make finals etc…. Then at least we won in 22. Everyone says that! And the injuries again… why have we been favourites in every game and most ‘football experts ‘ tip Geelong more so than our oppo teams despite all these ‘Injuries’ . Again it’s just a few as was Port and dons on the weekend. And they won as underdogs… why does Geelong get an ‘out’?

My man, you have managed to unite an entire board in your thoughts.

Shadow89 is the chosen one, the prophecy spoke of a man who can bring peace and balance to the Geelong BigFooty Board.

It's amazing how much he mirrors word for word what Richmond and other opposition supporters who hate Geelong say.....
It’s amazing how Richmond centric you and others are…. Weird why they even get a mention! Coach walked because they’re bog average…! Let it be already! Haha

What Chinacats likes to do is not compare us to the bottom feeders. The Eagles, North etc....that's fine...let's compare us to the contenders.

If only we were as competitive as the all conquering Collingwood....who have 2 flags in 60+ years.

What about the flavour of the month Lions? Ineptitude since the beginning of the century and STILL can't perform in the big games.

Surely the uber talented Dees are better? No, 1 flag since the stone age. The same goes for the up and coming Saints.

What about the young and exciting Port? They were going to sack their coach a month ago and have made a habit out of going missing in finals.

The problem for people like Chinacats is even if they truly are Geelong supporters - which is truly doubtful - is you can't even tell them to support another club. They'd run into the same issues, just further exasperated.

This is as good as it gets. In a weird way we should count ourselves lucky that we're as good as we are....imagine how unbearable he'd be if we sucked.

The large injury list is placing pressure on the remaining players which is leading to more injuries. The bye couldn't come soon enough. It's a good chance to get ahead of the injury curve and regroup for the remainder of the season. Our aim should be to start winning games instead of worrying about the ladder.
