Round 12 Trades

Priddis to Barlow and Lonergan to Hrovat my trades this week.

Looks like I'll leave Brent Goodes as my M8 for a little bit and Vlastuin at D6 and look at upgrading Terlich in the coming weeks.

Greatest issue is in the forward line though where I still have Buddy/Macaffer to sort out as well as Rowe just sitting there spudding it up. Might look at a bloke like Jordan Lewis who I consider to be ultra-reliable perhaps in the coming weeks.
Ive got most of those players you have mentioned.

Why Priddis? Is it because of byes? Im keeping him for now - at very worst he is a great M8 (especially if you brought him in after he bottomed out from his 4 in Round 5.) Can back him in the get 100 most weeks. I'd much rather trade out Goodes instead - unless you have too many Round 12 byes in midfield?

Macaffer isn't a problem at all imo. Really starting to come good - averaging 100 in his last 3 games. Low BE. Was a cow but now if he keeps up that kind of scoring can stay at F6.

Rowe I might just swap to my rucks bench after the byes and let him rot away. Not much money to be made off him and unless im really struggling to find any other trades he can just sit there.

Buddy is a worry. But I got him so cheaply - I'm backing him to come good. If he still isn't performing in a month it might be time to move him on.

Locking in Sinclair to Nicholls
That leaves me with hopefully 21 on the field this week and 17 on the field next week. Next week I'd look to bring in Mitchell and S Selwood for Crouch and O'Meara leaving me with 19 on the field that week.

Not sure on my second trade for this week. Looking at Evans for Barlow but this doesn't improve my numbers on field either just forces Hrovat to the bench this week.

1st trade will definitely be blicvas>nicholls, second trade im undecided on.
Should i go terlich> Duffield or JJK (via dpp) >Barlow/Griffen?

Would have preferred Martin but with my bye structure Hrovat is probably a better fit. Either way they are only going to be sitting on the bench once round 14 comes around so not a big deal.

Kerridge > Hrovat
JPK > Barlow

Next week if everything goes smoothly
Crouch > T. Mitchell
O'Meara > S. Selwood

He is very tempting, but for me ( and perhaps for other people), the round 13 bye is putting me off a little.

Yeah I can't get him in with that R13 bye.

I've got Ablett, Swan, Pendles, Dangerfield, Murphey, O'Meara, Crouch as R13 byes in my midfield. So as many trades as I can need to be concentrating on getting rid of as many of them as I can.

I think I'll go O'Meara --> Hrovat and Kerridge --> D.Martin (switch him into the midfield for R13). Getting on Hrovat before he jumps in price is important, and holding onto Crouch for a bit longer since he still has cash to make is probably more important than the extra points O'Meara would get.

Next week I'll probably grab Barlow and Sam Mitchell which will let me field 18+ for R13. Will have $590k to play with.

You've just talked a helluva lot of sense into me. I was going to have an emergency on the bench anyway in the mids so what you just proposed made much more sense and lets me upgrade my team to basically 7 mid premos plus Jaeger who is being moved on next week anyway which will give me my 8 premo mids. Going to have 20 on the field this week hopefully so I'm hoping for a decent week.

One bloke I do have my eye on is Michael Walters once he comes back in with Freo's favourable run in, I reckon he could really cash in along with Pav perhaps

Cool :thumbsu: Priddis is one I might move on near the end if I can but for now is definately a better choice than Goodes.

Yeah I am wanting to bring in some more Freo players - only have Barlow atm. One or maybe both of Ibbotson and Duffield in the backline. Definately watching Pav - would love him to come back with a green or red vest to make him even cheaper, then jump on.

I think I'm going to keep Priddis and then let him go to jump on whatever train that is coming home at the end of the year (Think Cotchin last year)

Looking at Duffield as my D6 in the backs and hoping Walters comes back with the vest to make his price a little bit juicier so I can potentially even straight swap him for Franklin. I am however worried by the fact that Ross Lyon might rest a stack of players late in the season like he did with the Saints v Hawthorn in 2009 if finals is secured, especially on an interstate trip to play the Demons, but the flipside I see of that is he may want his players to play on the G because that is where you need to win games come the end of the year

Currie --> Nicholls
Evans --> Hrovat/Martin

Undecided on Hrovat vs Martin

Hrovat helps round 13 as long he is selected
Martin scores are better so far but already could be short players for that round

Currently thinking a double downgrade for me too
O'Meara -> Hrovat
Rowe -> Nicholls

Next week Crouch -> Mitchell + Laird to anyone

Trying to fix the lack of midfielders for round 13 and at the same time not miss out on good rookies.

atm this is what i have but not sure on Blicavs likelihood of playing in round 13?
and if he doesnt play round 13 then i'd much prefer to trade him and have O'meara's score for this week

Kommer - Barlow
Blicavs to midfield, O'meara - Nicholls

What are peoples thoughts on Blicavs JS after the Bye?

From what I've read (although admittedly I've never seen him play) Hrovat will get games as long as he's fit, and you can of course wait next week for Martin (although I suspect you're trying to avoid a double downgrade since every man, woman and child is getting onto Tom Mitchell next week).

Won't getting K Martin next week mean he costs $50,000 extra and not be playing?

I think you either commit to getting K Martin this week and pocket the cash (if he is named) then wear the bye OR you wait two weeks to pick him up and pay more for him.

is it worth it to not get t.nicholls this week, and instead go dwyer->hrovat and jpk->barlow? so hopefully barlow can get me some extra points this week and act as a pod against my opponent
then double upgrade next week and jump on nicholls for his second price rise the week after?(rowe>nicholls)

Oops, I forgot Collingwood don't have the bye this week.

In that case, why not go for both Martin and Hrovat? Mitchell next week, then you'll have loads of cash to upgrade a few players as we get towards finals.

My biggest issue with this is finding three players in the midfield to trade for these three.

Will be interesting to see if Hrovat can keep his spot this week. Cooney, Boyd, Dickson and Cross are all most likely coming back into the team.
