With a midfield already consisting of two players from the one team(beams and pendlebury) what are peoples thoughts on bringing in stevie j when im already holding jelwood?

Ablett, rockliff, fyfe, murphy fill the remaining spots if it helps

I'm thinking about rolling the dice and making 2 downgrades this week to finance 3 upgrades.

Jacobs>NicNat
Taylor>O'brien

Would leave me with 370k in the bank to upgrade Hallahan, Suckling & McRae

Also, for anyone else considering downgrading Sandi to NicNat, consider this, WCE have committed millions in a multi year deal for NicNat. He's been carrying injuries all year much like he did last season. What happened last year? When WCE realised it was mathematically impossible for them to make the finals, they put NicNat on ice for the last 6 rounds to protect their investment!Besides WCE have 3 other capable ruckmen on their list.

Cameron > Jaensch more important ATM than Cotchin > Rockliff IMO

Cheers for the advice. Couldn't do McEvoy -> Natanui and Cameron -> Jaensch, but am able to do Cutler -> Jaensch. I know Cutler still has money to make but his JS is 50/50, might not get back in for a few weeks and hopefully Cameron can be a slow burner now that he is back in the team.

Cutler will be back this week. Leppa said in an interview that he planned to rest him. Although, if you can do a Cutler>Jaensch trade! I wouldn't wait.

If anyone is looking for a forward line upgrade, other than the obvious choices (Boomer, Danger, Martin) go for Craig Bird. Massive POD and at 483k his last 5 scores have been 137, 127, 100, 85, 98. Reason for early bad form was that he was sub against Collingwood and struggled when Sydney did, but won't be sub anymore. Gets better every week as do Sydney and now is a regular in their midfield, serious gun. get on

I was pretty keen on him last Thursday night :p.

He looks to have taken over from O'Keefe's role as a run with/tagger who can get his own ball.
He will at stages do some full lock-down roles and score poorly but he will go big on occasion.
Im a little light on for cash myself (and a little too Swans heavy in my own team lol) so i will skip him for the time being but will watch him with interest.

I'd pay ~400k for should.
I'll pay 483k for will.
That's all I'm saying.

About right, if he was 400k I'd be super keen.

My team after trades.

Lloyd > Franklin
Langdon > Honeychurch (purely because of the MID/FWD DPP)
Leaves 228k in the bank

Would rather Lloyd play, and just go Langdon > Franklin.
Thoughts?

Looking at just the one, Tyson --> Cloke. I want to go K. Mitchell & Ambrose --> Danger & ZOB next round though, so I might need the extra $13k insurance from Enright --> Jaensch. Don't want to end up having to trade out the Wild Man under duress.

How much bank you got before trades?

Think I have developed a trading addiction, I have used every trade available since round 3...

My cows are Langdon, Cutler, Bews, Shenton, Acres, McDonough, Ambrose and Cameron, but I don't think any of these necessarily has to go... the only upgrades I want to do are perhaps Swan > Rockliff/Fyfe/Libba or Roughead > Parker.

What do you reckon is the best way to accomplish this, or should I just chill with the trades for the moment?

I have 10 left, 85k.

DT_35 just noticed you have Lobbe as R3. Too much money wasting away.

If you're stuck on bringing in Buddy may I also suggest:

Lloyd>Franklin
Langdon>Shenton (DPP cow)

Next week:
Lobbe>S.Martin (if he becomes Lions new R1)
Taylor>605k mid premo

Doesn't really matter since we're past the bye rounds. People will talk about stealing points, but Beams and Pendlebury, Swallow and Ablett, Selwood and Johnson etc. have all done pretty damn well so far haven't they? If he's who you think the best option is, then go for him.

Am I crazy for considering Gunston > LeCras? LeCras, not including his injured game, has scored 80, 144, 118 and 134. It's out of him, Zorko and Buddy for my last forward upgrade, and I'm really thinking LeCras is the way to go, I don't trust the other two as far as I can throw them.

I'm probably going to go Gunston to Walker myself..
He's not looking good enough for a F6 at the moment with 90 average..

Lecras meanwhile, I have no idea about. I'm pretty sold on Zorko (average 107 without injury games) and Franklin (going to average 110 from here on) myself since I have them both in my team now!

At this stage,

Lewis Taylor >>> Tex

Cheap upgrade adding to my forward line depth. Could be super important come sc finals time.

Not really sure where to go from here ...

$185K in the bank, was thinking

Jacobs > Naitanui
Cameron > Zorko

With Shenton, Ambrose and Z Merrett mooing on my bench and Langdon to become McVeigh in coming weeks.

Thoughts?

I am thinking Langdon to Jaesnch and Polec to Shenton.

Then upgrading Shenton to Pendles in a few weeks? Not sure how else to get Polec to Pendles.

Don't really want to cull Langford yet, and downgrading Taylor doesnt get me from Polec to Pendles.

Amrbose/Cameron/taylor plus potentially Langford will help bring in my final fwd premo

Thoughts?

Little bit stuck on ideas this week.
Team currently
DEF:
Swallow, Mcveigh, Jaensch, Hooker, Suckling, Langdon (Langford/Cutler)
MID: GAJ, Pendles, Beams, Watson, Fyfe, Libba, Selwood, Polec (Shenton/Hartung)
RUCKS: Sandi, Jacobs (Derrickx/Thurlow)
FWDS: Danger, Martin, Zorko, Gray, Roughead, Higgins (Impey/Lloyd)

14 Trades & $28k in bank - 196 overall - top of most leagues
was pusing to get top 50 but dropped 40 places this week so just gonna concentrate on leagues from here.

Polec has a high BE so thinking maybe time to downgrade him .... can't see any options?
Hopefully Lloyd comes back to make some coin...
defence is a bit shaky - Hookers scoring has dropped lately and Suckling/Langdon are a bit hit n miss
Need to get Bartel/Simpson in for Langdon i think

any ideas?

Nic Nat a decent option in the ruck? Im strapped for cash when it comes to upgrades, and need to offload Longer. would only cost me 50k, and Nic Nat looks like he is getting back to full fitness and scoring well, or should I just fork out the extra 100k and get someone like Minson?

Hmmmm.. Decisions Decisions..

Jacobs to Nic Nat
Ellis to Barlow

9 trades left, 1 upgrade to go and $150K in the bank.

Any reason your dumping Jacobs?
I know he was subbed out with a sore groin... but no word that he will miss games and he has been great this year.
