Yes but he plays more as a pure mid so greater potential for higher scores. Also I am counting on rocky being the one to get the tag. Birchall might be more consistant score ceiling isnt as high imo.

That would be exactly correct I'd say, Birchall is a solid performer for sure, you can ink in at least 80 every week but he won't go over 100 too often.

My team is below, got 14 trades and 11k in the bank so obviously need to do some downgrading. Spewing it seems that I missed the boat on Shenton, was thinking about Z O'Brien in the mid, the problem is who to trade out, Robertson? I would have loved to trade out Robertson, Zorko to mid and then do Shenton but I won't make any money out of it.

BTW I'm getting my arse kicked in every league, had the worst year I've ever had since I started, had no luck and made some bad calls.

Do I do the original trade or go S. Morris > M. Jaensch & L.Taylor > Shenton, and pick up Swallow next week? Jaensch will probably go up $20k compared to Swallows $10k.

Other concerns are Jacobs with little ruck back-up but he's meant to play, Andrew Walker has knee issues with little back-up in defence.

Will consider Stefan Martin at F/R back-up if he plays well if picked & Morabito/Z O'Brien to replace Acres.

At some stage you should push bartel back bye trading alexG to ZOB and upgrading Taylor.

Jacobs is not Sandi.

If Jacobs hip injury is more than 1 week I'll have to trade him out regardless, since I don't have any ruck cover and I'm not the sort of coach to deliberately eat doughnuts while I still have trades in hand.


If it's not NicNat it will be someone else. The rucks are all pretty much injury prone this year, bar Sandi of course.

I may also end up pulling the trigger on Jacobs to NicNat. I'm usually happy to cop a donut here or there in order to save a trade, but the $150k may make it justifiable.

What's the general consensus so far? I'm ranked 3100, so it's not like I'm going for the top prize; leagues are my priority.
