Normally would not trade first week of byes...but this is not a normal season. extra trades, etc.
Still have 18 trades, with $200K. Assuming more than average. Playing solely for two cash leagues.
18 players this week, less in round 13.
Thinking now, who don't I care about next week...Gibcus and Ward (what the *** happened to him?) - time to go.
Have Pruess and Hayes...unsure what will happen next week.
Want English in forwards...most likely to be top of his area, and can back up rucks.

Gibcus to English (via DeKoning)
Ward to Owens (need the cash - Ward seems unlikely to assist, going early on Owens - gets cash now, and likely to play next week...)

Rookie out, Premo in. Just one more to go (in Mids).

Then next week...if Pruess plays, Hayes out to cheap R/F. If he doesn't, Hayes continues to assist.

Any issues with logic here? This way I get English (probs necessary for league matchups later at a decent price)

Could sideways Pruess or Hayes to English, but would rather get more information after next weeks teams.
NOTE: still keep Dekonig and Paddy for one more week - then upgrade

Either no trade:

or...

Hayes and TDK to English and Teakle as R/F loop

19 this week 17/18 (carroll) next, 20 week after. before trades.

will go Mccomb down to (insert rook) and SDK to Doch/Houston. Thinking Houston

Another idea is if you plan on keeping Paddy long term. You could trade in a $102K Def/Fwd now to swing Def/Fwd with him as loop/DPP for double line coverage, when you downgrade Fwd rookie. Then get to wait for those two targets mentioned to actually be named.
Prob is might not generate any cash.
Not a bad shout, though not sure I will be able to keep Paddy long term, as reckon I'll need the $200k+ that I'll get from downgrading him when the time comes.

Totally get that. Its the same reason I am having trouble working out which rookie to pick this week. do I go left or right!!

Could get Jeffery but means only one upgrade next week. but cash gen for in a few weeks time.
Go bargain basement and end up with a possible donut down the track.
get a non playing rook like Owens or Wehr this week - Only for them to not play next week or go out once Steele/Whitfield returns.

For teams already with one or two non playing rookies like Holland and Hamilton its getting tough when you get a third.
I can see myself waiving the white flag in 4-5 weeks..

Could survive this week without bringing in Gawn for Preuss and then reevaluate next week, just so hard to know if Preuss will be getting a run.
Guess you've got to decide whether you'll be more pissed off by trading him out if he comes back in and goes ok vs if you hold him and j isn't selected.
Pain in the arse, tbh, we're not ******* clairvoyants.
If he comes back and continues on his 110ish average he will get up to about 550k.
You will still have the overlying injury issues and his lack of JS considering Flynn is a premo also pretty much.
Gawn is also a decent captain option.
Id do the trade.
I went Preuss to Darcy myself.

On the fence about trading in this man. Surely this is a sign that it must be done

I've kept Preuss (but not 100% sold on the move) and went Hayes, Durdin to Teakle and English, 20 on field, and will re-evaluate Rd13, what to do with Preuss.

I've settled on Hayes to Teakle and Daicos to English.

This does potentially create problems next week with only 16 at present including Carroll who probably won't play, and Curtis, who is no guarantee. Also includes Preuss and who knows what's going on there.

But if Wehr plays and we get another rook worth picking I can go 2 down 1 up (Merrett or Keays) for 3 extra players. Probably end up with 17 or 18 on the field.

But I doubt I'm alone with low numbers in round 13.

Short term fix, which Luke - Ryan or McDonald?
In a perfect world you wouldn't take either. They have just been too inconsistent.

If forced to choose I'd probably take Ryan. Although he has competition for his points these days, he is a proven 100+ scorer.

Need a Def rookie, don't need them to play this week and suspect Parnell has zero JS, trying to decide between Wehr (whom may be out with Whit back) and going super SUPER early on Durdin! other option is Def DPP doughnut and potentially trade one in next week if picked when culling McCartin and DeKonig

Given the uncertainty, you may be better off getting a minimum priced DPP who is unlikely to play. Really depends on your cover in general, whether you need a warm body in round 14, trades left, etc. Rookies brought in at this stage are probably only 50/50 prospects to be culled given lack of trades.

Really struggling to decide between Darcy and English, I think its now or never with both but I have actually found a way to get them both by moving on Rich via De Konning which I actually planned move on next week for Sinclair.

If i bring both Darcy and English in this week I wont have enough to go McComb > Rookie and De Konning > Sinclair but instead will have to settle for Doch, which I think I am fine with as surely teams will start to put a little bit of time into sinclair after he has got off the chain the last 2 weeks, albeit against weaker opposition.

After getting Doch to complete my defense would leave 10 trades for the run home for injuries or (doubful) luxury trades.

Short term fix, which Luke - Ryan or McDonald?

I've had LMac for about 6 weeks now he has been pretty good and the last 2 weeks 120+ Although I am concerned about his role when Hall comes back.

I am struggling to decide weather to bring in English or Darcy and not confident that the rookies will hold there spots.
Can I please have some advice.

Option 1
Preuss -> English
Stephens -> Owens ($5,200 in the bank)

Option 2
Preuss -> Darcy
Stephens -> Wehr ($14,700 in the bank)

Option 3
Preuss -> Darcy
Stephens -> Owens ($21,300 in the bank)

Or can you suggest a better option?

19 on field this week. Decided with my trades to go with a one up two down and get a warchest ready to go becuase I’ll need to do a number of trades next week.

Butters, Dixon and Hamilton to Butler, Teakle and Titch and swung Bazlenka in Butters place. Left with over $162k to do a SDK/Paddy Mac/McComb/other upgrade next week and use my last boost and hopefully complete one of my Def/mid/fwd lines
