They won't though

Decided to trade out Hayes to fill up the bank balance with a cheap For/Ruck rookie.
Saw McCartin and English has same bye and just fell short by $5k on the trade. Didn’t want to use a third trade. THEN a new incoming cheap F/R rookie ♥️Teakle♥️ comes along and makes the magic happen. Thanks MSD….

What are everyones thoughts on Anderson?

Also, Akuei vs Teakle?

EDIT: i thought Akuei was FWD/RUC

Think I'm set on Hayes, NOD, Carroll > English, Uwland, Wehr/Owens.

Rather than chancing it on both Owens and Wehr this week, I'd rather just bring in Uwland/Worner - 1 of which was always going to be my mid-def bench loop come season's end.

Are those moves worth the 3 trades to do them?

Do you need the money from downgrading Carroll?

I'd hold him if you can as a) he might give you a score next week WARM BODIES and b) he could turn into a bench loop anyway and you have saved the trade.

Still stuck on trades. Probably gonna go down the ruck improvement route as I’m running Hayes R2, will downgrade Dixon to Teakle and Upgrade Hayes to someone else.

Unfortunately I do in order to make the English trade. I could trade Preuss instead of Hayes, but if I trade Hayes, the pathway to get Darcy/Witts is much clearer.

I can go Rosas > Wehr and SDK/Paddy Mac > Zerrett next week to get me to 20 warm bodies, and then I shouldn't need to trade again until after the byes and I'll have 10 remaining, with Preuss my only mandatory upgrade left.

Durdin>English is the preferred upgrade.

To afford that, ditching Daicos is the only option, and with no DPP options, it’ll need to be to a sub $150k defender.

Wehr vs Cleary?

Cleary a risk of the medi sub tomorrow night, and not good for next week. Wehr bye this week and no guarantee the following week.

Thoughts?

Are you looking for someone to play immediately, or someone to stay in once they debut ?

Carroll to Jeffrey for a quick cash grab - Jeffrey gonna make some good $$$ over the next two weeks and he's a green dot this week. No expectations of him continuing his form but he should make $80k at the same time Carroll is going backwards and Carroll's js would be poo even with the Blues injuries

After been set on my trades all week I think I'm now going to bring in Jeffo. Think I need to maintain the cash gen going forward.

Seems like his JS is good or am I wrong about that?

For the sake of one trade, is it worth trading Heeney out for Parker or wait until after the byes for other options?

Nope. Heeney is playing like Heeney. He’ll rip a 140 soon enough. He was never the 110+ guy the early numbers indicated, but he’s still worth owning.

That's the thing mate unless I have access to a crystal ball I just don't know what those kents at GWS are thinking about when it comes to Preuss.

Spike McVeigh might hate Preuss and not rate him like you said and then I will be fooked!

Knowing my luck though Preuss will come back round 13 and Darcy will do a hammy round 13 and be out for 6 weeks.
Maybe Pruess wasn’t taking his vitamins.

Another idea is if you plan on keeping Paddy long term. You could trade in a $102K Def/Fwd now to swing Def/Fwd with him as loop/DPP for double line coverage, when you downgrade Fwd rookie. Then get to wait for those two targets mentioned to actually be named.
Prob is might not generate any cash.

Very tempted to trade Hamilton to Butler, in the hope it gets me an extra score next week

Hamilton looks to be dead, whereas Butler's JS looks pretty good

I have 15 playing next week, planning on 3 trades to get me to 18. Having Butler gives me 1) an extra score and 2) security in case one of my players gets injured

I have $209k to spend, so I could get MacDonald back in LOL. Any chance that spud ever gets some midfield time and cracks 20+ touches?

MacDonald is a prime example of why you should stay away from Butler IMO. Curtis is another example. I'd be looking at finding a way to trade Hamilton for Jeffrey if you were set on the cash grab. Probably still more like to make $100k from where he's at now than Butler over the entire season from what I've seen.

Yeah **** it, I've dropped rank to 14k so now is as good as a time to take some risks.

Jed Anderson in you come!

Alternatively, if you trade MickyD to Butler now you literally make $100k for effectively no loss of output.

Not a cash grab, it's all about the points and green dots next week.

Hold on - are you agreeing or disagreeing with me?

I’m saying it’s better to burn the boost now.
Saving a boost for late in the season is insurance that you are unlikely to use - as your team is complete and you only need 2 trades to sideway swap and injured premo

Haha no I needed 3 a few years ago only got two and it burnt me

I’m going to save a boost

Could survive this week without bringing in Gawn for Preuss and then reevaluate next week, just so hard to know if Preuss will be getting a run.
Guess you've got to decide whether you'll be more pissed off by trading him out if he comes back in and goes ok vs if you hold him and j isn't selected.
Pain in the arse, tbh, we're not ****ing clairvoyants.

Got the green light from doc and physio to restart jogging and bike riding today.
And I own Jed Anderson, so I'm basically the greatest triple threat the world has ever seen*.

* Yeah, nah, not really lol, watch it turn to shit this week
Great news on the green light Gutsy. Take it easy and work back into it sensibly. Great to get those legs going again and get back to doing the things we enjoy :thumbsu:

If it helps, I firmly believe Preuss is GWS #1 ruck and will continue to be so until he’s injured or there’s a dramatic change in form. He was legit unwell, which is why he missed last game which has given everyone the jitters. Round 13, he’ll take opening bounce all things being equal, score 100 or so.
