Round 12 Trades

Hey guys, this is my team, 8 trades left, $12,100 in the bank. I think I'm a bit light in my mids (went for a few unique ones) and my benches. Any thoughts, possible trades and comments are appreciated.

Not bad team, mids are a bit light.

I'd downgrade Wellingham/Browne to Armfield or Ward then
upgrade someone (not sure who) to Ablett/Bartel/Kornes

No way

If you trade them to a higher scoring back you might be 10 - 15ppg better off

If you trade rioli to Chapman you will be 30ppg better off

Simple

This year Osborne and McLeoud are pretty much premium backs

EDIT: Just looked at your rucks. Bring in COX!!!

I can snap R Murphy this week but i was going to wait till he drops a lil more... Cox has a relatively high BE so ill wait for him to drop before i contemplate getting him.

Thoughts on these combinations?

Simmonds -> Sandilands
Ibbotson -> Newman

vs

Palmer -> Corey (perhaps Bartel next week if Palmer and Bartel both hit exactly their averages this week, pushing it money wise though)
Porplyzia -> Franklin/Gia/Murphy/N Brown

Simmonds, Ibbo, Palmer and Porpz are my weakest players (not average wise for the forward line - BJ below Porpz) in each position and I'm looking to fully strengthen my team this week or next.

I have 6 trades and $130k left.

Thanks for any opinions!

Dont want to sound mean or anything but surely you could work this out for yourself?

Its pretty straight forward.

haha yeah i get ya mate.

IMO Stevens and Goodes are definite keepers, Goodes will rip it up the second half of the year, always does and cant see this year being any different, Stevens has been great also after a somewhat slow start when he was regaining fitness. I have both in my team and both will be there come round 22. Only upgrade guys like Goodes and Stevens right near the end of the season if you have sufficient trades.

Palmer's a tricky one though, iv'e had him from round one and couldn't be happier with his output so far but i think in a couple of weeks I may upgrade him as he is bound so slow the second half of the year, although if he keeps posting good numbers ill just ride him as long as i can.

Hope I could help :thumbsu:

Whose trading Bradshaw if he's not named?

My initial trades were:
Bradshaw -> Bock
Rioli -> Chapman

Im now considering keeping Bradshaw.
This would allow possibly better upgrades?
Keep Bradshaw
Rioli -> B. Hall
Palmer -> Bartel

What option do you think is better?

9 trades left is a good effort for that team you have. I would look at upgrading Palmer and/or Stevens to a Ablett/Bartel/Corey/Swan/Cornes/Thompson in the next few weeks is possible. That's the best way to increase your points I'd say. Another option would be upgrading Simmonds to White.

Out: Jack
In: Bartel

Out: Taylor
In: Armfield

down to 5 trades left but my team is almost complete
and still going strong in the eliminator

ey jus lookin at upgrading fev

thinkn either the following ...

steve johnson, robert murphy, brad johnson,

or neone under 400
any ideaS ?

cheers

In order I'd have it as:

Murphy
Steve Johnson
Brad Johnson

Both Johnsons are running into some form, but Murphy's a genuine gun.

hey guys here's my team. (green square means i've had em from the start)

just wondering if it's worth using a trade to better my backline?? (want to trade kelvin moore for possibly j.mcdonald/n.malceski). i'm planning on upgrading palmer/stevens come finals time to the top 2 mids (swan/ablett??)

and no i don't put salopek captain every week despite my obsession with him (been on him since 2005). and no i didn't leave murphy in my team despite his zero.

It is definitely worth using a trade to improve your backline, I would even use 2. Your backline is very weak. Moore and Thornton are the obvious ones to go first, Myers not as urgent but ideal.

Rioli is far too expensive to have sitting on your bench, as is Houli. Look to downgrade them to cash cows about to go up in value (Armfield, Valenti - if he plays, Ward if he keeps his spot which he should).

Then you wont need to downgrade any more because you have a large amount in the cap. Look to get Cox in for Jolly, Moore/Thornton in for Birchall/Chad (if fit)/Goddard/Milburn/Fisher etc.

cheers mate thanks for the speedy reply. however, i dont think i have enough trades to keep downgrading to cash cows. houli/rioli were gonna be my year long emergencies, and i don't really need the cash anyway.

i'm definitely gonna look at getting rid of Moore, however i think i'm gonna hang on to Thornton cos i believe he still has some potential left in him to pull in some decent scores. I was looking at the Chad but it seems he's got a few niggling injuries (finger/knee) that will limit his game so i might stay away. I think i'll go for McDonald/S.Fisher.

Yeah that's fair enough. If you need to, I would still consider trading down one of those bench players I mentioned.

Thornton also needs to be traded. Coming up against Collingwood, it looks like he'll have to be very accountable for a man, especially if Jamison doesn't come up. This means that his score will probably be reasonably low.

If you can do a double trade of Moore and Thornton to Sam Fisher and Goddard/Milburn, then I would strongly consider doing it.

Then you can downgrade one of Houli or Rioli, and then upgrade Jolly to Cox as the final touch to your team for a while.

Who is the best option out of the following Brent Harvey, C Judd, S Mitchell, L Power, or any other mids which are less than 350k help plz :thumbsu:

Mitchell and Harvey are IMO the only ones worth looking at. Goodes is at 349k but I'm guessing you may already have him.

If you're keen on picking up Mitchell it might be best to wait another week. He's going to drop around 25k this week.

Stanton might be worth a look as well.
