Round 12 Trades

ok...some serious advice needed...i am now in a major dillema where i am struggling to find the use for trades...yes sounds stupid but for some reason i feel i could have a better side:

I don't have:

Pavlich
Franklin
G.Ablett
Giansiracusa
Richo
B.Johnson
etc

yet i am ranked 110 and have a pretty decent side.

Can someone tell me what they think of my forward line ATM

Brown
S.Johnson
Didak
Murphy
Burton
Deledio
Tredrea

Mayne
Davis

I think what i need to know is...do i trade tredrea for gia/johnson/pavlich/reiwoldt

tredrea can't score hundreds it's a fact..but he is managing consistent 80's and 90's...but i believe if i want to improve i will almost certainly need to trade tredders for a bloke who can score big hundreds!

thoughts???

If Chad Cornes really is out for over a month.... who would be a wise replacement? My backline already looks like this:
Goddard
Newman

Birchall
H.Shaw
Johncock
Milburn
Cornes

Have 9 trades left...

Yeh i am in the same boat as you.

You have the same backline as me except the bolded where i have Mattner and P.Burg.

Speaking of which P.Burg would be a good option for you.

I am leaning towards many options. If i decide on doing Rioli to ROK, then it is between Newman/Bowden. But if i decide on doing Rioli to Nathan.G.Brown, then it is anyone under $333,000. I am tossing up between Bock, King, Drummond (too injury prone), Macdonald, Guerra (when is he back??), Malceski and Mcphee.

I have no idea......:confused::confused::confused:.

10 trades left, 57,300 in the bank... I'm happy with my whole team but my shithouse backs. I was thinking of upgrading ibbo and mattner to Pburgoyne and (mcleoud/mcphee/fletcher)

shaw
milburn
gilbee
mattner
kenelly
ibbo
myers
proud
hansen

Gablett
swan
cross
dalsanto
stevens
kerr
palmer
bird

cox
simmonds
west
meeson

aka
deledio
Sjohnson
Bjohnson
Chapman
brown
riewoldt
thomson
tippet

Damn Cornes.

My team was almost complete.
If he is out for 4+
who should i get?

Current Backs:
Shaw
Cornes
Newman
Mattner
Macdonald
Johncock
Goddard

Don't really want Milburn.
Was thinking Mackie/Fisher.

Also have a problem now in forwards:
Porplyzia
Franklin
Pavlich
J Brown
Chapman
Bradshaw
Rioli

Seems Rioli has to stay another week.
Tippett EMG.

Question is do I trade Bradshaw or Cornes if they are both out for a while?

Okay Lads, here's the story.

6 trades left + 140k

The one trade I will definately be pulling the trigger on this week is:

GIBBS -> GUN MID (Kornes, Bartel, Corey probably Kane)

Will leave me with 5 trades and about 60k.

Now then, My Bench on each line is:

Back: Wonna Edwards, Mids: Welli, Browne Ruck: Kruz, West, Ford: Tippet, Valenti.

I could downgrade Wonna to Armfield/Urquhart to make a quick 160k, but can we be sure they will play every game for the year like I am also certain Wonna will?

Or should I trade a tiring Browne for Armfield, reducing my profits, but bolstering my mids against the prospect of Wellingham being dropped?

Should I be cashing any cows at all?

not sure what to do this week, got 10 trades left

but have weakneses such as fev, rioli and wona.

maybe just leave my team due to my score of 2200

If i was you i'd go for Gia, i just checked STATS on DT and this is how his year has been:

1. 123
2. 81
3. 103
4. 83
5. 86
6. 85
7. 90
8. 92
9. 81
10. 131
11. 125

So, like i said if i was you id go Gia.

Glass is your bigggest worry by far. Not sure how much he's worth right now but with only 36k, you wont be able to get anyone decent. Maybe Myers or Armfield if you want to take the risk but not alot to choose from

Is this your first year?
I remember last year when I had
Forward line (start of the year)
Josh J Kennedy
Lloyd
Buddy
Alwyn Davey
Jetta
And few others
I also thought that the bench scored so I had 200k players off the field:(

I recomend on getting rid of Davis and Glass as soon as possible, judging by your line up you should have plenty of dough in your bank. Get Cox in as well as he is one of the best DTeamers around, you are basically starting 50 points behind everyone with Kruezer as your ruckman

Yeeh, it is my first year. Thanks on the advice

any pointers for this weeks trading ?

sda.jpg

With that amount of trades left, upgrade Simmonds and that idiot Fevola, the rest look pretty servicable for now :thumbsu:

fellas, I have 11 trades left with 13k in the bank

The dilemma:

I have plummeting players in Wonnaman, Masten, Browne and Tippett

Now my proposed trade is this:

Browne> Armfield

Wonnaman> Gun

However, I have some other proposed trades

Option 2:

Wonnaman> Armifield (would be playing Myers instead)
Masten> Gun

Positives: I'd have an elite midfield with the worst being Palmer
Negatives: Myers would be playing right through, and Browne would be slightly depressing me

Option 3:

The 3 Trade Theory

Wonnaman> McLeod
Browne > Armfield

Next week:

Masten > Hayes possibly?

Positives: This would see my backline complete, my midfield complete

Negatives: It would take 3 trades to do

So what are your thoughts gents?

My team is as such

C.Cornes (could throw a spanner in the works)
S.Fisher
M.Mattner
T.Kennelly
L.Gilbee
Milburn
Wonnaman
Myers
Selwood

K.Cornes
J.Corey
Stevens
Goodes
Palmer
Masten
Browne
Cotchin

Cox
Simmonds
Messen
Jess White

Franklin
Didak
B.Johnson
J.Brown
N.Riewoldt
P.Chapman
T.Cloke (thanks trav, you could possibly be suspended)
Tippett
Hansen

Any left field suggestions would be welcome :)

didak. richo is old and will tire in his role, especially when they cant make the finals. he is already starting to and hasnt produced a big 105+ score for about 5 rounds.

who would people get out of:
roo, bj, murphy, n brown, burton?

taking into account that i still need to do 1 more trade for myers to someone. 40k of chornes if i do rioli to roo but he may be injured. id have about 300-330k if i got bj and the rest id probably need to waste another trade.
so take that into account and who would it be? i think bj

Tough one.

Brown is just about back to his best.
Roo I would avoid, saints doing crap and his motivation is down. Not to mention his dickie knees.
Murphy yes definately, but can he keep his form up, can see no reason why not.
Burton well we all know he is going to do some injury with one of those bird jumps one day, just a matter of when.
BJ may have shaken off his niggles, should be on the up from here.

For me it would be a tossup between N Brown and Murphy. I think these two will be the more consistant.

My team is as follows:

Backs: Cornes, Shaw, Milburn, Burgoyne, Goddard, Birchall, Ibbotson (SDT, Selwood)

Mids: Swan, Thompson, Ablett, Kornes, Stevens, Palmer (Browne, Armfield)

Rucks: Cox, Simmonds (West, Cartledge)

Fwd: Pavlich, J Brown, BJ, Deledio, Didak, Chapman, Porplyzia (Tippet, Valenti)

I've bolded the players in my team who I am looking at upgrading in the next few weeks to finalise my team. I have 6 trades, $129k and will be upgrading two of the bolded players to leave me with 4 trades, but I'm struggling to work out which trades to do.

Could afford Palmer-->Corey and Porps-->Franklin this week, or I could do Simmonds-->White and Ibbotson-->330k defender

Any thoughts?

Get rid of Simmonds first, White is the man, or Sandi if you want to save a little cash.
Palmer should be ripe in 1-2 weeks, can't possibly have much more cash left in him, er can he?
Wouldn't touch Ibbo or Porps for 3-4 weeks.

Not unless you need the cash to do more upgrades IMO.

Palmer is the only one I'd be looking at upgrading in the near future but not until I've ridden the wave all the way into the beach and it crashes on the shore. I guess what I was trying to say before is which of the following positions would have you feeling the most confident about seeing it through:

A.
5 trades + 60k with bench of:
Wonna, Edwards.....Welli, Browne.....Kruez, West.....Tippet, Valenti

B.
4 trades + 220k with bench of:
Armfield/Urquhart, Edwards....Welli, Browne.....Kruz, West.....Tippet, Valenti

or C.
4 Trades + 140k with back up of:
Wonna, Edwards.....Welli, Armfield.....Kruz, West.....Tippet, Valenti.

why birchall??? isn't p bug. better?

Both are good IMO, however Birchall is cheaper and IMO will be more consistent, but he cant really score huge.

P.Burg can score big (although is having trouble lately) and is fairly consistent.

Maybe because you are a Port supporter go for P.Burg....:thumbsu:.

Hrrrm tough choice, It is out of A and B i recon.

If Palmer is the only one you wish to update then i think it would be fine to have 4 trades left come injury/suspensions, because your bench is very good. However i would go for B then because i think it would be better to have Armfield in defense. Also you gain 80k doing B over C and 160k doing B over A.

So B for me IMO.

Thnaks for your help... I'll do an ibbo to p burg :thumbsu: or birchall if bug boy breaks his leg before friday when i do the trade...
