I think I've decided I'll trade out Cornes!

Buttttttttttttt, need some advice! I have 9 trades left and don't know whether to trade..

Cornes > Enright

Or to free up a bit more coin trade...

Cornes > Xavier Ellis

What do people think? I'll also be trading Nahas to Didak this week!

Then I'll only have 2 more upgrades to make, which will hopefully be getting Hodge in a week or 2 and then getting Stevie J in about 2 weeks... if i get ellis instead of enright it'll make getting hoge and stevie j a fair bit easier!

Hmmm what ya reckon

Ellis is a great trade IMO. Will rip it up if he can stay fit. Had an interrupted preseason, and scored 93, 116, 20 (injured) & 75 in less than 3 quarters last week. That's actually given me an idea...

B: Goddard, Fisher, Newman, Gilbee, Chornes, Grimes, Broughton (Cheney & Pestinko)
M: Ablett, Selwood, Judd, Foley, Haselby, Rich (Muston & Dangerfield)
R: Petrie, Tipett (Jacobs, Spencer)
F: Riewoldt, Pavlich, SJ, Deledio, ROK, Roughead, Ziebell (M Brown & Wright)

* 10 trades, $126k, ranked 813th.

All week I've been set on Chornes > Hodge, & Rich > NDS. Now I'm thinking I could bring in Ellis instead down back, bring in Montagna for Hase, and bring in NDS next week. My options:

A) Chornes > Hodge...& Rich/Hase > NDS
B) Chornes > Ellis...& Hase > Montagna (Rich > NDS next week)

The advantage of B) is that NDS's price rise next week SHOULD be almost offset by Rcih's rise. Also Hase is due to drop alot next week, so is possible that this is really the last week to get rid of him.

Thoughts...please??

are u planning to bring in montagna later if you go with option A? if not then i would definately go with B

I'm kind of stuck between either getting judd or NDS for my final midfield spot. currently Ablett, selwood, goodes, power, cross, rich (muston, anthony)

If i bring in NDS then i can also bring in riewoldt this week. If i get judd, the riewoldt will have to wait a week or two depending on price changes.
what do you guys think?

I'm thinking of going

Halesby -> Ablett
Krakouer -> Riewoldt

leaving me with 240k leftover and 7 trades left

Nice trades Derogue :thumbsu:. Don't think - Do.
Nice amount of money & trades left also.

Rawlings has thrown a tiger amongst the pigeons for me :mad:. Was planning on Haselby > NDS but should l now go Cougs > NDS?

If l do Cougs > NDS l will not have the $$$$ to do Kraka > O'Keeffe as well. At least Kraka (BE 109) will not loose $$$ on the bench. If l do not do O'Keeffe now then l will have to hope that he has a couple of avg games and l pick him up around Rd 15.

Should l do Hase or Cougs > NDS. Have Muston to cover for Cougs.

Warren (inj) -> Dick
Bowden (doubtfull future) -> Goddard

Two sideways trades, but I have justified it at the moment unless someone talks me out of it.

i wouldnt wait on rich, i did the same thinking he should offset ablett...didnt....not i missed pav by 10k.
i wouldnt go near hodge, unlike the others he hasnt really shown signs of any huge improvment. i would swap hase this week before rich. NDS is a solid pick and i'd def go ellis over hodge.

I'm torn between Suban > Heath Shaw or Zeibell > Stevie J. and thought s wouuld be appreciated. here are my back and forward lines.
Godard, Fisher Gilbee, Adcock, Drummod, Grimes, Suban (Cheney, Spudrenka)
Reiwoldt, Delidio, Roughead, Higins, Goodwin, Skipworth, Zeibell (brown, s wright)
Bloody drummond and goodwin are out this week but hopefully only for one week...

A bit late there I would think.

THe other one is fine as you said Bowden's future is in doubt but I would reconsider the other one.

With Shaw playing against Sydney this week, I'd be looking at Ziebell > SJ (or even Didak). I also think SJ will outscore Shaw for the rest of the season.

Should I go for Matthew Boyd or NDS as an upgrade? The extra $50,800 will be handy, but is NDS worth that much more?

M.Brown => J.Brown
IMO M.B. has well and truely hit the ceiling. With Merrit back for the lions JB will have Bradshaw down back meaning JB brown won't get double teamed as much. JB won't be any cheaper this year....i hope:thumbsu:

Haselby => NDS
Hase has been inconsistent at best and with a BE of over 140 it is now or never to jump on the NDS train at his price.

I'm pretty happy with those two trades.......still have 8 remaining

SJ will be cheaper in 2 weeks time if you can wait

I want to do Ziebell - SJ too but not right now

I am also looking at Heath Shaw. Mine is a swap for Chornes. I was a bit Hodge obsessed but all the contrary opinions are starting to sink in.

lol is that a contradiction... Dont choose shaw cos he's playing sydney but pick up didak....

Didak is dirt cheap though. Shaw is prone to inconsistency, and if anyone is going to give an inconsistant player a bad game, it's Sydney.

Any thoughts on Boyd v NDS?

NDS would be the obvious choice but Boyd could make ur team more unique and possibly win/loose a game.Montagna is obviously better this year so NDS might not be tagged as much.

Hard to choose - but NDS would keep ur scores similar to opponents.

Might go the unique option and hope that it pushes me up the rankings a bit. The extra cash makes it more tasty.

Hey guys, do u think that

Rich - NDS

is a good trade.... if i do that i will have 8 trades and around 80 000 in the bank.

that will leave my midfield as Ablett, Judd, Bartell, Selwood, Sewell and NDS!

Thanks in advance!

Your midfield is looking very good, so I have a sneaking suspicion that the rest of your team is a bit weaker. Post that up, because I reckon there'll be a better ppg gain elsewhere.

Seeking advice - I have McIntosh and Tippett in ruck, and I have the cash to upgrade either to Cox. This is probably a good week to do it, but should I hang onto Tippett, is he coming into some good form? What to do?

I have 6 trades left and 59,400 remaining in the salary cap.

Problems in the backline:

Cornes and Malceski (probably not worth trading out now)

Broughton can cover one of them and Petrenko is my other emergency (unlikely to play).

Problems in the forward line

Lucas is my 7th forward and his spot is not 100% secure. I have Warren and Macaffer on the bench.

I was planning on bringing in Hodge after this round for either Rich or Cornes.

Other backline options would be Gilbee/Bock/Shaw/Newman/Enright or someone else. Depending on injuries etc it could be Drummond in a few weeks even.

So I am not sure If I should trade Cornes out this week. Or downgrade a forward bench player to ballentyne. Or wait and hope Malceski and Lucas play :confused:

Hey guys,

Skipworth---> J.Brown

Cornes----> Newman

Good Idea?

Leaves me with 7 Trades left and about 30,000 in the Bank.

Both trades look good. J.Brown has bottomed out and Cornes injury is still listed 4-6 IIRC.

:thumbsu: Hopefully Rawlings doesn't have any other big omissions in weeks to come.

Hmm is Hodge 100% fit? and he has a high-ish B/E this week of 130.

Ballantyne will be a popular pickup but will he play this round :confused:

I'm getting Hodge next week for Cornes. I don't think he'll go down a heap if he gets his average.

With his game next week, I'd say he'll be well and truly over his corky by then. A bit of a risk, but he'll be back the week after at worst.

Yeah Ballantyne should definitely play this season. But with the Hodge thing - their has been speculation that he isn't 100%. Do u think it's worth waiting a week on the Hodge trade.. or is Malceski likely to be dropped

:( Split round
