Obviously terrible news but good chance for some one to step up.

I agree.

I actually think it's a real chance for someone to really stamp themselves as a fulltime mid.

God knows we have a million candidates currently playing hf,hb and on the wing- all of which are fit/mature enough now to play onball all game.

And it will force a big adjustment to our midfield dynamic (ie not playing a run with/negating type)

I'd personally throw billings and/or sinclair in the centre square this week in steeles spot.
Or stuff it- even benny long and/or parker for longer stretches on ball.

Or even jimmy webster in the middle.

Or of course the goat

Our midfield is putrid and has been for years-
We have experimented a bit this year bringing in gresh and billings into the rotation.... but we should be shuffling things far more.

Our midfield get smacked every week regardless- may as well explore all possibilities.

FMD we just can't take a trick when it comes to injuries this year, Steele has been one of our few consistent and reliable performers as well.

Would be handy if Steven or Hannebery was available to replace him but I guess they are still weeks away or indefinite.

The forgotten man Armitage would be the logical replacement as an inside mid but I've got no idea what his form or fitness is like.

He cannot move. Crazy to play

I think Young will actually stay in, who would replace him?
Acres can. They have enough small forwards. He is terrible. Not that anyone here picks the side but he is the perfect example of people who hardly watch sandy wanting him in for no reason but being a new player. He is playing as badly as he was playing at sandy. It was a strange pick as he didn’t deserve a game.

So Phillips, Geary and Steele are all confirmed outs, and Marsh, Acres and DMac all but confirmed back in
Plus Young is terrible and Joyce isn't needed with Marsh back.
So 5 changes probably means Coffield keeps his spot.

Steele - Clark
Geary - DMac
Joyce - Marsh
Young - Acres
Phillips - White/Webster with Newnes going back to the wing full time.

Oh rejoice. :/

Steele - Clark 13 disposals instead of 25. ( 5 contested ).
Geary - DMac 10 disposals instead of 20.
Joyce - Marsh Some upside.
Young - Acres Lots of upside .
Phillips - White/Webster with Newnes going back to the wing full time. Time for White to make a statement, he was ordinary last year, lets see improvement.

We're going to get smacked in the middle. Massive game for Gresham and Dunstan.

I think Young will actually stay in, who would replace him?

A witches hat could replace him and we probably wouldn't notice the difference.

Out: R Young

In: W Hat

I wonder if McKenzie could play the midfield tagging role. He wouldn't damage the other way like Steele, but he has the speed and probably the tank.
No let’s keep it simple. Clark or acres can play mid. Don’t think tagging is an issue this week. Not often 44 players can just play on their own. Shows where both lists are
