one of ablett, bartel, hayes, swan, cox or pavlich.

cox destroyed hawthorn earlier in the year, but ablett wont have 2 queit games in a row.

bartel, swan and hayes all on fire atm, and pavlich looked in elite form against the cats.

tough choice but will probably go ablett.

Swan over Bartel for the first time this year

I love Jimmy but I can't keep relying on him scoring half his points in the final 10 minutes of the last quarter.

No taggers at Freo iirc and even if there was Leon and Didak would be first targets. Should mean another monster score for Swan.

On the weekend the dockers used..
Broughton on SJ who scored 130
Ibbotson on Chapman = 135
Schammer/ Dodd on Ablett = 76
then in the last quarter Dodd went to byrnes restricting him to a mere 48 points for the quarter with a total of 140

Based on statistics alone, it would seem as though only Schammer had any success in restricting a DT score :thumbsu:

With Pendlebury out, Davis and Didak should get tagged over swan imo

De Boer tagged Selwood completely out of the game did he not?

Yep DeBoer tagged the shit out of Selwood.

Schammer wont tag again this week... I think he was just a really good match up for Ablett.

On a side note, Ablett is human again, and one would think the best tagger in the game (Kornes) would like to exact revenge on him after last season's debacle down at Skilled Stadium.

Well I have plenty of option this week:

Priddis: Averages very highly against the Hawks and got me 139 when I put him captain earlier in the year.

Cox: Also playing the Hawks

Kornes/Bartel (Depends which one I pick up)

Didak: Gun and is playing freo.

ROK: Absolute smoking form and not many have him.

Swan without a doubt. Has had a lot of outstanding scores the last few weeks and this week he has Fremantle. Not only should he become more of a ball magnet due to Pendlbury being out but he shouldn't cop much of a hard tag either. The Dockers will target Didak for sure after destroying Sydney and I think all the teams have learnt by now that Davis should be kept quiet at all costs.

Oh and for everyone on the Ablett boat, I suggest you watch out. Kane Kornes will be glued to him all night.

Maybe Cox this week, it's permanently between he and Bartel at the moment, but Jimmy hasn't been convincing of late, usually stumbling across the line in the last 10 minutes to grab a ton.

Injury queries intensifying over Cox this week so I think I might go for Sewell, who has been in good form all year and against the Eagles I think he might be due for a big one.

fair point but considering ablett hasnt scored below 90 since 2006 against port i think i might take my chances.

Round 13 Captains

G. Ablett VS Port (119) 93, 98, 96, 97, 127 = 102

Corey VS Port (115) 94, 70, 113, 149, 110 = 107

My choice is between these 3. All the stats point to Corey as the best choice despite Ablett and Bartel's popularity as captaincy options.

Corey has the best recent form against Port with 100s in his last 3 against them.

Average over last 5 games this year:

Corey - 118.4
Ablett - 112.4
Bartel - 109.8

Very interesting! Corey is looking like a great option looking at these stats. He's rarely tagged and is in red hot form atm. :thumbsu:

His early season form was down due to a different role in defense. In the past 5 weeks he has been in the midfield and back to his best.
