bit of a noob question if anyone can help me but when do the next price changes happen?

I should win this week (only 2 donuts on the park) but is it worth trading in players who have the bye this week (don't want to miss out on them if their prices rise next week!)

If they don't play, they won't rise/fall in price

Macaffer > Hanley

6 trades left 95k bank

B- Goddard Gibbs Birchall Hanley Goodes Vlaustin (Wilson Docherty)
M- Ablett Pendlebury Swan Watson JPK Dangerfield Griffen Tmitchell (Hrovat Kmart)
R- Goldstein Maric (Nicholls Currie)

Next week will look at
Goodes > Shaw
Docherty > Clisby? or if money permits ( will be very tight based on proj)

Vlaustin > Shaw
Docherty > Daniher (Oxley to def)

Also torn between trading out Wines or JOM this week.

Current team is:
DEF: Goddard, Hanley, Heppell, Gibbs, Goodes, Vlastuin (Laird, Thurlow)
MID: GAJ, Kennedy, Selwood, Cotchin, Fyfe, JOM, Wines, Crouch, (Kommer, KMART)

Planning on:

Any thoughts or reason why I shouldn't do these trades?

Great trades - good plan and good looking side!

toxic Cheers bud.
Big concern is bench cover. Pretty shite.
How would I go about getting Goodes or Vlas as my B7/M9? You think I should trade Nicholls when peaks for mcbean, seeing as I have cox/NicNat fwd?

Btw, as a newbie to this forum, id like to acknowledge you and many others for what a great job you do in giving advice to us fellow SCers. Much appreciated :thumbsu:

Move him on, don't get too attached to him.
You need a consistent premo that can churn out scores of 110 on average in your team.

Yeah agree with that but just not sure who to bring in. Money isn't a massive issue (can afford up to about $600,000).

Swan, Watson and Dangerfield would be great but have the bye this week so I'll still have to cop a zero for this week.

Not sure about Cornes and Barlow.

Playing for a league win though so could just go with one of the latter three anyway, just not sure if it is worth doing it this week or next week.

Jacobs (crab:rolleyes:) to Naitanui (thought about Goldy as have Currie as R4) What do people think?
Ruck Set up is now
Naita/Maric - Nicholls(GWS) and Currie(NM)

OMara to Hrovat
Hutchins (WCE) to JSelwood
Leaves 650K in the bank to do some serious upgrades next three weeks. (need 4 more premiums)

Oxley & Daniher have the bye mate

I know that, but I have 7 forwards and 5 defenders, so I actually get an extra player on field if I trade either in.

the question is, does joe have the JS to justify the extra 60k?

Kadog
Love SC so all good!

In terms of your next trades and bench cover you need cash, it might be Docherty or Staker or Nicholls out as a cash grab - probably Nicholls in 2 weeks at 340K ish for Mcbean, you can then turn Docherty into Beau Waters or a defender around the 440K mark, hopefully moving Goodes to D7
After that It'll be waiitng for Mitchell to cash up rapidly then ditch him for Nic Graham or another rookie and upgrade Hrovat ot Kmart

that 30K might but you a premo who scores at most 10 points per game more than your other less option. So you give up 80 -90 points this week (Wines potential score) and in 9 weeks you break even..

Seems that extra 30K will take you 9 weeks to pay back. My suggestion - trade Omeara this week and take Wines points. Wines has a B/E of 70 odd - he could score 85 - 90 and increase in value this week
Thanks Toxic, I see what you mean. I agree, and more importantly you sent me back to do more calculations and I realise that, even with that $30k, there's every chance I still won't be able to afford the player/s I want. So I'm going for instant gratification (points) ... the changes that will make my team as strong as possible for this week, and hopefully in weeks to come too. So, changes are now ....

Garlett > Franklin
O'Meara > Birchall (Vlastuin to mids)
Couch > Hrovat

That makes it 19 starters this week (20 if Thurlow plays) and leaves $233,200 toward upgrading Wines and Terlich in weeks to come.

JPK, Kieran Jack, Sam Mtichell, Jelwood, Cotchin, Lids - plenty of options

I suppose it was a bit silly by me not to include the players I already have but see the bolded.

Would you pull the trigger this week and get either Jack, Selwood or Mitchell, or would you wait one week and get Swan/Watson, remembering that the league win is a priority.

Roughly how much more is Ellis expected to rise in price? Is it worth bringing him in this week to cover a zero, hopefully increase in value and then downgrade to a premium defender (e.g. Hanley who has a high breakeven) when Ellis peaks, given I still have 15 trades left?

He has a BE 8. Expected to rise 48k to 508,200 according to SC Gold.

TBH Ellis is looking like a keeper. He's spending the majority of game time in the middle and really knows how to find the pill. Spewing I missed him earlier, but I took Vlastuin instead so not really the worst call in the world.

So Docherty has been named. Keep him in the side and hope he avoids the vest or drop him, move Vlastuin back and trade in Hrovat?

Kennedy, Cox, Priddis and Buddy tonight.

Laird to Birchall, Duffield or even Heartless this week?

Thinking Birchall.

Duffield is about to drop, break even of 149.
Birchall about to rise with a BE of 34. Also saves you $75k

Birchall has had a much more impressive year and finally shook the tag last week. Birchall has the higher ceiling, Duffield the better POD.

Take your pick from those factors, but I'd lean to Birchall.

Thanks for your reply!

In another thread someone said Birchall was carrying some sort of back injury.

Never been a big fan of either player but Duffield seems more inconsistent.

Just needed someone to reassure me Birchall is a good pick... I can find a unique choice elsewhere.

I think with that many trades it's worth doing. He could get you a extra 100 points this week by covering that 0. Who knows he might be a keeper for you but at worst you should make 80K+ over the next few weeks out of him. We have a good run over the next few weeks. I don't see him dropping off at all.
