I think that first trade will be the most popular trade in the history of SC I'm thinking of the second as well, refer above. How many trades you got left JM?

Yeah SC might breakdown and go into meltdown just from that first trade.

Thinking:
O'Meara -> Mitchell (lay down)
Hartlett -> Ellis
MacAffer -> Harvey

Next week:
Winderlich -> Stevie J

Sit like that until finals. Have enough bench cover and pretty happy with team.

Yes, I know I've missed the boat on Ellis, should have gone with my gut and taken him last week, but I'm running out of trades and need a team structured for finals and Hartlett can't be considered for SC finals - they beat GWS by 80 points and he crawled to 90. Had originally planned to get Mitchell/Walker/Stevie this week which I could do, but taking Ellis doesn't leave me enough cash for Walker so I'd have to take Harvey instead.

The other option is to do the first two trades and take Stevie J for MacAffer this week and then Walker for Zorko next week, bring Cox into the FWD line, bench Winderlich as cover and run with Nicholls as my R2.

I'd persist with Hartlett - he and Ellis will both average 95 - 110 from here, its a sideways trade you don't need to make IMO
Stevie J is a must have
if you can only do 2 trades this week then those two are standouts.
Nicholls is not good enough to be a permanent R2 - especially when Dixon eventually comes back

I'd persist with Hartlett - he and Ellis will both average 95 - 110 from here, its a sideways trade you don't need to make IMO

You could be right. Last 6 weeks though, Hartlett's average is 72 and Ellis has averaged 119 in the past 5, since he stopped starting as the sub.

Does everyone think Goodes and Vlastuin are keepers?

Should Vlastuin be traded out for Birchall this week and Goodes to Gibbs next week?

Would leave my team complete with a backline of -

Goddard, Hanley, H.Shaw, Duffield, Birchall, Gibbs (Thurlow, L.Brown)


Goodes and Vlastuin could be good bench cover though compared to Thurlow and L.Brown.

Only thing is to get Birchall and Gibbs Goodes and Vlastuin are the only ones worth enough to upgrade to Birchall and Gibbs.

What does everyone else think about this as I think there's alot of us out there in this situation.

I really like Ellis. Goodes and Vlastuin won't be in your team come SC finals I wouldn't have thought, and both are extreme overkill for bench cover and a waste of good coin. Given you only have 8 trades left, you need to trade for a final team, Birchall and Gibbs good options for that. Thurlow should be good enough cover I would have thought.

Vlastuin and Goodes - that way can use the emergency loophole constantly - Around Rd 16 or 17 i can trade him or Goodes out if they begin to tire. Looking at him being a final luxury upgrade in finals time
