Did you like the look of Merret? I nearly got him last week but already had Heppell so went Petracca.
Merrett had a great game, him and Parish work beautifully together. I would take Petracca over him but I'm already screwed for Round 14.

Merrett, and Walsh seem like the best value in that price range (I don't trust Jelly) but at 25% and 28% ownership aren't POD's. Touk is the stand out there, but I'd prefer not to do the extra trade needed to fund it. Lyons is up to 6% I notice, expect that to rise a lot next week.

Little bit of a dilemma this week. Torn between bringing in Duncan or Mitchell.
I’m a little worried about Dangerfields return and if that does impact Duncan’s scoring which has me considering Mitchell. Any thoughts or suggestions are more then welcome!

Don't think Danger in will hurt Duncan at all, Duncan is more outside and scores well regardless. Can defo hurt Guthries scoring though

Swans to rest Warner but star trio ready

Young gun Chad Warner is likely to skip Sydney's AFL clash with Hawthorn but prime movers Lance Franklin, Isaac Heeney and Tom Hickey are on track to back-up on Friday night.

The Swans have carefully managed Heeney's ankle and Hickey's knee in recent weeks, while Franklin has played five games on the trot as anticipation builds about his looming 1000-goal milestone.

Sydney's entire squad will have a light week on the track, with the club mindful of the fact they will tackle the Hawks after consecutive six-day breaks.

But coach John Longmire says Franklin, Heeney and Hickey have pulled up well from Saturday's win over St Kilda and should face the Hawks before a break during the mid-season bye.

So glad I'm upgrading him this week.

I was kind of hoping Heeney would be managed this week so I'd have an excuse to burn one of the freebie trades sidewaysing him to Whitfield.

Looks like I will be going Berry/Jordon/Warner to Bianco/CCJ/Miller. Gives me 20 this week.

But only got 14 for R14 at the moment. Probably going to have to wear a couple of donuts. I don't think I will be on my Pat Malone in R14 in the 'Light On' dept.

Was going to turf Rowe this week , but the news that Warner is being rested changed that.

Why not turf both (Rowe and Warner)? I am!

Might do. Just can't find anyone else I fancy. Maybe selections will sort that out. Can't see Holmes playing much longer. Lynch? Haven't got any DPP switches left to move into the midfield. Ideally want someone playing R14.

What are Heppell owners doing this week? Holding because he's a warm body for R14? Keeping as F8/F9/luxury upgrade?
Holding for now, can't trade this out

I'll reassess in round 15 or 16

If I had Heppell I'd HOLD
He's always been a stepping stone in my side. Loving him for his consistency this year. He's a solid 90's guy with an occasional better game which is reflected in his current 3 round avg that includes his 134 against WC. Back to regular programming last week.

With the 134 in his cycle his price has pretty much peaked, he's a small step up to a premo and with his bye this week it's worth looking at the options. I'll probably hold because there's a chance he could get better scores in the back half after a rest and now that he has some footy in his system after a couple of rough years.

Wouldn't surprise me to see coaches upping him this week though

This is p*ssing me off - the extra trades don't actually help because bye planning was about players playing in particular weeks, and moving them screws different teams up - moving 3 keepers and a cash cow from 14 to 13 just is a nightmare for me. Have to trade players I don't want to trade, keep players I don't want, pass on players I do want

Needed to be best 15 or 16 to be fair.
[tl/dr alert]

So after a little tantrum mind-bubble about just boycotting Rd 14 due to getting 2 extra trades when I've had 4 players moved to week 13 and leaving me with just 12 in week 14, my rational mind told me that Round 14 was going to turn up anyway and I'd be more upset with myself when it got here.

Balancing the need to fill out Rd 14, the desire to keep generating $$ for final upgrades, and keeping an eye on a balanced team post Rd 14, I've decided to try and fix 3 x Rd 14 spots this week, and 3 next week, taking me up to 18.

Starting with this

I've decided against moving on Zorko and Grundy this week, don't want to sideways them until absolutely necessary.

So I've come up with this (moving Laird back and Zorko forward)

And end up with this (prior to setting up Rd 13)

10 trades and $8K left!

Poulter, Highmore amongst the next round outs planned.

Thanks for listening, any feedback would be welcome.

I added Miller last week, just realised that little turd Serong will probably sit on him this week.

Well my advantage with being conservative on trades this year has been killed by CD.
15 left now.
Time to start burning through them!

The extra trades are canceled out by the need to use them on sideways moves to avoid donuts. It will have the same impact as no extra trades and counting 16 in round 14.

So your advantage is still there.
