I still have 13 trades. And even though Parish may miss just 1 week I think he will average very similar to Mills on the run home…?

If you have HH at F7, I’d 100% hold Gawn. Reason why you have parked him there.

Resigned to fielding 17 this week, Preuss willing, unless Khamis miraculously holds his place. At least I don't have Gawn worries!

Perusing projections I see that Stewart's finishing price has fallen from 698k projected at the start of round 12 to 556k as of this round, with corresponding drop of average from 130+ to about 113. Getting too close to that Smith boy has certainly been costly to my team's fortune! Of course it could be "Lies, Damn Lies and Projections."

Gawn has to take priority.
The extra trade to move Brodie on might be better held, even though I reckon he'll drop to 90-95 on the run home.

Depends what you call exotic, I've had Witts/Preuss all year, still got them, bought Gawn in 2 weeks ago (I'm actually very happy with that trade,wanted to C him and he saved my first bye). I was going to leave Preuss on bench Till Rnd 15/16/17 anyway to make a bit more cash, so assuming he's selected I think i'll try to keep Gawn, his and Witts ownership will flip now, and Gawn will be a unique at the back end of the season. Going to mean i'm not joining the no trades club for a bit longer. And i may as well start using my bench cover, that's what it's for.

This is exactly what I'm doing as well. As long as Preuss plays then I will hold Gawn at R3 and also have pretty good bench cover so will rely on them to hold the fort for a few weeks.

Yeah, I watched a bit of 80's footy last night and for some reason it calmed me down. Pulled back from 3 trades, may only trade now if I need an extra score this week. Also my last 3 trades have been Gawn/Butters/Petracca so not really improving my team anyway.

Zerrett is like 30-40 kegs lighter than Max. All Max does is jump. Melbourne will play finals 100%, they'll also still very likely make the top 4, surely they'll be conservative with the bloke they want in good condition for finals.

It largely depends on their results though I reckon. If they beat the Lions at the G, then you'd expect them to beat the Crows, and they're back on track before the Cats in Geelong.

If it's the full 5 weeks, that's 4 matches missed, unless you got a keeper on your bench waiting to cover, I reckon you lose too many points.

With the Parish news, I’m probably going Gawn/Parish to Witts/Laird.

It might not end up being another Hewett situation but if it is, it’s way too late in the piece to hold players for 2-3 weeks

Looking at this as my main option.

Remaining spot to be a rookie (could be Durdin) or another rookie named for this week.
Should give me 19 for the week

Basement rookie price there is nothing else in the 530k range that I like to instead of HH. 30k short of Bont unfortunately.

I could flick Mccartin instead and allow me to get Bont. But means next week I will have a likely donut with my fwd rookies. plus 1 less playing this week

Gawn > Witts seems the logical choice but thinking Doc is a must have especially with Williams out for another 6 weeks, Doc will likely take all kickins and rack up some big scores, BE is also 60 so this as cheap as he'll ever get.

Is it worth a sideways trade of Rich > Doc ? Will take me to 10 trades and 20K but still need to target Stewart when he bottoms out as well as possibly upgrading Trac, Zerrett, Heeney etc to more consistent types.

I also may need to make these trades out of necessity as will struggle to field the bare 18.

12 trades left and 56K.

Thoughts?

I’d keep Rich purely becuase he’s also another kick in taker who racks up cheap points due to that, so I reckon try and find an alternate method to keep Rich and get in Doc
