When Ralph Smith is our best chance of securing a contested mark you know we are in trouble. We simply don't split marking contests as well as we should and if we do we never have smalls in the right spots.
Simple strategy against us for opposition teams, man up and force the long ball to a contest, win that contest and transition at speed from there and we have no answers.
Hard gut running is the only way to combat this strategy and currently it's not happening.
